I haven't written any fanfiction, and I may never do so - it depends if the muse will ever strike & twist the knife while offering bribes of chocolate, preferably Toblerone... (EDIT: Okay, so the muse struck, twisted the knife, and forgot the chocolate. That said, who knows if I'll ever post what I've written. Someday, when I've put the finishing touches on 'torturing' Lucius Malfoy and his family and associates, I'll post his travails - maybe.)

If you're curious, the stories on my favorites list are predominantly in the following fandoms: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Harry Potter, Inuyasha, Leverage, The Pirates of the Caribbean, NCIS, and Stargate:Atlantis. Most of the favorites are 'ship-oriented, but there are some 'general' stories in there, as well. However, that being said, the 'general' stories are most likely to be in the Harry Potter fandom, as that is the one I've been reading the longest, and the other fandoms were perused for specific 'ships.

To give you an idea...

Firefly -- River/Jayne (aka Rayne), although I do enjoy the 'canon' pairings, as well. One of my favorite authors for this fandom is Dyce with her HorseShoe Nails series, but... if you don't have time to invest in it, check out her shorter one-shots.

Inuyasha -- Sesshoumaru/Kagome (aka S/K, SessKag)

Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- Buffy/Giles (aka B/G, BeeGee)

Pirates of the Caribbean -- Jack/Elizabeth (aka Sparrabeth)

NCIS -- Gibbs/DiNozzo (either as a slash pairing or not...)

Harry Potter -- started off with SS/HG (Snape/Hermione), and have since branched to other 'ships, some of which are slash pairings. One of my most favorite authors for 'shipping Hermione believably with almost anyone is atruwriter -- Need convincing? Check out her Mad Eye Moody/Hermione fic "Constant Vigilance" - On its own, I'd have never given this fic a look-over, but because I do enjoy her writing, I thought 'Why not?' This one is by far her best fic as yet. Another favorite author is V V C, who writes mainly slash & mainly Harry/Draco in a very engaging manner. Another excellent author to check out is shedoc -- while there is some slash (Harry/Ron), none of it is overt and it's not in all of the stories, and yes, there is some mpreg, but not in the usual way.

Leverage -- Nate Ford/Eliot Spencer, Alec Hardison/Parker/Eliot Spencer

Stargate:Atlantis -- McKay/Sheppard (aka McShep -- this is another that I enjoy reading as a slash pairing or not, I just really enjoy the interactions between the two)

And while I have not, as yet, added any to my favorites here, I have recently succumbed to reading Hawaii Five-0 fanfiction, of which I find myself steering toward Steve/Danny as a pairing or just the two of them interacting because they complement each other so well. That said, I do have a growing number of favorites in the fandom that are not posted in this archive.
