Ok, so HI! (my avitar is lightning, in case you were wondering)

If anyone knows what the whole 'are you human' thing on the login part of this site is about, could you please let me know? It is driving me crazy!

I love to read and write, and have been begged to watch tv rather than keep reading. I have too many favorite books to count, but my all time favs are: the Twilight series, books by Terry Brooks(there's like fifteen of them in this one series), Eragon&Eldest (If you read Brooks' series Shannara, and the Lord of the rings trilogy, you really understand a lot more about these two books.), all of Scott Westerfeild's books (Peeps is one of the best books ever, but don't read it if you have a weak stomach.), Harry Potter, The Dresden Files and the Maximum Ride series. I have a really varied taste in books.

My favorite TV shows are Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, and cooking channels. My favorite movie is Bruce Almighty or the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I hate writing fanfictions about the actual characters in a story, so I tend to write really OC fics and stuff.

I don't really write many fanfics, so I'd really be happy if you wanted to check out some of my other writing at the above link!

Anyway, I'm really excited to be able to put some of my writing on this site, and if you'd like to critique my work and give me advice on how to become a better writer, I'd really apriciate it!

Thanks!

This is the treachery of the artist; the refusal to admit the banality of evil, the blandness of pain. -Ursula LeGuin, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas. (Oh, cool fact about this, LeGuin lived in Salem, Or for a while, and if you spell Omelas backwards, it spells salem O. Just something to think about.)

Love all, trust a few, and do wrong to none. -William Shakespear

He who knows patience, knows peace. -Chinese Proverb

Sometimes, kismet happens. -Stephanie Meyer, Twilight

But life without meaning is the torture of restlessness and vague desire. -Edgar Lee Masters

YOU KNOW YOU'RE AN AUTHOR IF...

You talk to yourself a lot. (e.g. Hmm, what would happen if it was sunny the day Bella got hit by the van? Oh, story idea!! Must get computer!)

You talk to yourself about talking to yourself. (e.g. 'Why do I constantly ask my self random things?')

When you talk to yourself you often talk to yourself like you're talking to someone else. (e.g. 'Have you ever noticed that deliver could mean someone's liver?')

After uttering a profound peice of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand with awe and say, "Wow,this stuff is great for sugar highs...'

You live off of sugar and caffine (the two greatest things ever discovered!)

You'll check your e-mail every day of the week and then dissappear off the face of the earth.

You're e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random.

When replying to an e-mail, you'll never actually address the point of it.

You tend to collect Bic Stics off the ground like picking pennies off the ground.

No matter where you are in a room you never have to get up to find a pen/pencil and paper.

The letters on your keyboard are wearing off. (once a key actually fell off!)

Your friends and family think that you have carpal tunnel syndrome.

People think you have A.D.D.

You think it'd be cool to have A.D.D.

You constantly start talking in third person, present or past tense.

You start thinking about making lists like this and start giggling for no "apparent" reason

Your friends stopped looking at you funny for no apparent reason a loooooong time ago.

And FINALLY, the one way to tell if you're a good writer: You failed English 101.

(copy that into you're profile if you fit one or more of the descriptions)
