Author has written 18 stories for Ranma, Lord of the Rings, Smallville, Hey Arnold, Lizzie McGuire, Twilight, Justice League, Harry Potter, Merlin, and Young Justice. Updated 5/11/12 I am currently active in Merlin and Young Justice fanfiction. I had attempted to avoid posting any explicit material to my account, but have found creative editing isn't an option for some of the shorter stories. I would truly appreciate your understanding. I'm keeping my really old stories up for nostalgia's sake, but I don't suggest reading anything from me posted prior to 2009. I have been around this site and many others for ten years now and have developed quite a bit since I first started writing. I'm very active on Livejournal and I've changed my homepage to my new public journal, inkberries. I also moderate the ontd_merlin community. My tumblr is beenwandering and I help with a Merlin fic reccing tumblr called fuckyeahmerlinfanfic. Anyone is welcome to follow any of the above if they're interested. Tips and tricks for FF.Net authors to keep in mind: • Your summary is important, don't waste it by saying you suck at them. At least come up with something or no one will bother clicking on your story. Give us something to get us interested. • Betas are good for more than just editing your grammar. They help make your story readable and cohesive (and they can help with that summary too!). Their critiques and encouragement can make you produce a better story than you thought you were capable of. It doesn't take long to work with a beta and the benefits are endless. • No one cares about your rating unless it is "M." You don't need to waste space by saying "Rated T because I'm paranoid" because most people on the internet are already 13 or older. • Don't pride yourself on writing characters OOC here. The point of fanfiction is being able to capture that same personality of the character we already love. Work on finding their voice. Even in OOC or unusual situations we should still be able to recognize a character's attitude and their responses. OOC/new personalities are better left for original fiction. • OCs are dangerously difficult and not well loved. Make sure you have an experienced beta before posting. • It is extremely important that you warn people about content in your story that may be emotionally harmful. Add an author's note with warnings for things like character death, suicidal thoughts/attempts, cutting, rape, non-consensual/underage sexual activity, and domestic or parental abuse.
