One of the original Trekkies. Watched the Original Series during its first run.
Followed Next Gen, DS9 and Voyager. Could not stomach Enterprise...

In the 1980's discovered Dr. Who (Tom Baker) on public TV, and have followed the Doctor ever since.
Enjoying the new Doctor as much as I enjoyed Star Trek TNG.

In the 1990's helped to form a Sci-Fi Club in my home town of University Park, IL. The club, named Imaginaires, recently disbanded as people moved away.
The website still exists in honor of the club. It was here that I became a convention-attending fan. I bought a couple of uniforms (TNG and Voyager style) and attended
numerous conventions where I met and got autographed photos from:

In 2008, I met my first real astronaut, Space Shuttle Astronaut Joan Higgenbotham, and in July, 2009, I met and shook hands with "Buzz" Aldrin!

I write fan fiction occasionally, when I have the time and when the muse hits me. So don't expect a lot!

I also write sort of semi-professionally, with one sci-fi short story published in a writer's magazine, and a novel in progress.
