| Dark Renegade |
Author has written 6 stories for Bleach, Eyeshield 21, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Howdy, my splendiferous readers! Or if you're not a reader, howdy stranger! I've finally gotten around to updating my profile! Let's see...my real name is Sarah, but that name is pretty much unheard of online. I'm either Raine, Renegade, Renegade Raine, Rene, or RR. And really, I'm fine with either name. Hell, I've considered changing my real name to Renegade Raine JUST for the sake of being able to say "Hey, my name is Raine...Renegade Raine" to all the new people I meet (not that I meet a lot). Plus, my name tag at any job would stand apart from every one else's. Although I'm sure I'd have a hard time convincing people that it was my actual name. >.> Anyhow, I just turned 21 in February, so I'm pretty much legal in every sense. And I still write fanfiction. I feel old compared to you young 'uns. I started reading fanfiction when I was probably 12 (and I know for a fact that I was reading the dirty stuff by 14 >.>), and I started writing HORRIBLE fanfiction when I was 14. Seriously, it's so bad that it still embarrasses me to this day that I wrote that crap, although I'm pretty sure that no one saw it. I credit writing to being the main factor of me getting out of my teenage depression (and it wasn't an emo thing...I actually had pretty good reasons to be depressed, but I'd rather not get into that here), so naturally I feel that writing is my biggest passion in life, even if I do slack on it a LOT. However, I'm trying to get better at being consistent in my writing, as well as improving my overall writing skill, as my biggest dream is to either be a screenwriter or a writer of a manga (since my drawing skills suck, aside from designing characters). Sure, perfect writing isn't really required for either one, but I still have problems with quoting things and I have some issues with grammar. Again, not really required to perfect those skills for my dream, but if all else fails I'll write my damned original ideas in novel form, and that's where those skills are required. My writing tends to be depressing, as I like to extract an emotional response from my readers. Happy stories can be fun every once in a while, but it's rare to see one that isn't really cliche and even more rare to see one that has you biting your nails as you're reading the story. As for my writing influences, I have three big ones. Quentin Tarantino, Ai Yazawa, and Greek mythology. Tarantino is absolutely ace with the style he puts in every film he directs, and his characters have some of the most memorable quotes ever. Ai Yazawa (mangaka of NANA and Paradise Kiss, as well as a couple of others) is a woman who can take a plot that looks simple from the first look and then turn it into something hella complicated with shit-tons of emotional angst. Then lastly, Greek mythology is something I used to be absolutely OBSESSED over. I would check out books from the library, watch TV documentaries, not to mention Mythology is one of the classes I managed to ace in high school. Unlike a lot of other myths/religious tales, Greek mythology actually humanizes their gods, which leads to several stories that actually expose the gods' weaknesses, rather than stuffing their strength down your friggin' throat. Not to mention that those tales were highly inventive, even compared to this day and age. Those three might seem like an odd combination of influences, but hey...it leads to interesting fiction. :D -- Currently Writing (In order of what I plan on working on): Doomed From the Start - I've got two oneshot ideas. One with smex and one that will show my take on the ending of In This Twilight. Worse Than Death - Chapter 11 - It'll be a while, as I'm in a pr0ny AND angsty mood for fanfiction, but I WILL get to it. -- On Hiatus: Disenchanted - My mind is stuck in the Bleach fandom! T_T Everybody Loves Orihime! - My mind is too far stuck in the GrimmHime fandom to consider other Orihime pairings to write right now! T_T -- Other places to see my work: My Livejournal (it's where I put ALL of my writings in recent history, including a lot that I haven't posted here yet): http://renegade-raine.livejournal.com/ -- Favorites~ -- Color: Black and silver -- Characters (Not really in any particular order) -- Bleach: Orihime (my favorite character of EVERYTHING), Grimmjow, Renji, Kenpachi, Noitora, Szayel Aporro, Halibel, Uryuu, Tousen, Kira, Matsumoto, Gin, Aizen, and Mabashi (yes, he was a filler character, but I had a fondness for him, since he strangely kind of looked like what would happen if an original female character of mine had illegitimate children XD). Naruto: Shikamaru, Gaara, Orochimaru, Temari, Haku, Sasuke, Hidan, Tayuya, Kimimaro, Sai, Kankurou, and Akamaru (I'm a dog person). Kingdom Hearts: XIGBAR!, Xemnas, Xaldin, Larxene, Axel, and Roxas. NANA: Takumi, Shin, Yasu, both Nanas, Miu, and Reira. Death Note: L!, Misa, Rem, and Ryuk Final Fantasy: Edge (IV), Tellah (for his infamous line, IV), Kain (IV), Cyan (VI), Edgar (VI), Vincent (VII), Tifa (VII), Tseng (VII), Rufus (VII), Scarlet (VII), Seifer (VIII), Seymour (X), Larsa (XII), Vossler (XII), Fran (XII), and Balthier (XII). Blood: Karl, Riku, Saya, Hagi, Nathan, Moses, Van, and David. Eyeshield 21: HIRUMA~!, Akon, Natsuhiko, Kotaro, Mamori, Suzuna, Kid, Mizumachi, and Rui. -- Pairings -- Bleach Naruto Final Fantasy Kingdom Hearts NANA Blood+ Eyeshield 21 Other pairings I like: -- | |||||||
