Author has written 44 stories for X-Men, X-Men: The Movie, and Big Bang Theory. Well, it's been an interminably long time since I really wanted to visit ff.net, partly because of the direction Marvel took Storm in and partly because all my laptops died but I think I'm back and will try to work on unfinished stories. I started work on two stories last year and the year before, well heck I have so many stories begun from years ago that it isn't funny, some with multiple chapters but I do hope to post them all one day. I however I'm pretty sure I don't want to put anything up unless it's finished first though. Right now I'm actually reading through a lot of my own one shots, seeing that I need to make a lot of corrections, especially with Escapades which has a bunch of asterisk’s strewn throughout the story for some reason or another plus it's just not up to par, the story. It's a fun thing to read my own stories, though I may flinch and groan at earlier work. I will admit some recent reviews have spurred me on making me wonder what a story was about that they liked. Maybe I'm odd but sometimes I can't really remember what a story is about until I take a glimpse of the first few paragraphs. And is it wrong to enjoy your own work so much? It is a little odd though for me because I used to come to ff.net to read other RoLo stories and now I'm just reading mine for the most part. I almost wish I could log in as someone else and critique my own stories and tell myself how much enjoyment I got from them. I mean it's just so interesting to see where I was so many years ago before the Storm marriage ruined my love of comic books. But I'm glad for the reviews for such old stories, they have truly been getting me out of the funk I've been in. Ultimately I do hope to find some good RoLo and start readin' an' reviewin' again but mostly I hope to regain the love of fan fiction that used to consume me almost only in a less addicted manner. Truth be told that's part of the reason I didn't fix any of the laptops. It's not always a good thing to be sitting hunched over your work computer during the day writing stories in between working and then going home and looming over your laptop all evening and through the night writing stories. Sleep, life, they all oftentimes took a back seat. Now I hope to be a little more sensible and wiser with my time. I hope as I'm older I won't allow myself to be so tempted because life has to have balance. My life now is without a great love, writing stories, so that is also why I'm back – balance is so hard to truly achieve sometimes. Maybe this time I will. Now back to the bio: I don't just have stories here, I also have stories that aren't based on the X-Men at this site under the pen name dreamingnwatercolors - one Hidalgo story, two Lord of the Rings stories and one Firefly Mal & Zoe friendship romance after Wash's death. Not only that but there are some RoLo stories that I don't have posted here that can be found at The RoLo Realm where I usually put updates first. Some steamier stuff is there though I don't usually write that type of stuff. If you're a RoLo fan that's the place to be. Well, I don't just write stories I do have a life. I run (well, I will again after my freaking broken foot heals), hang out with friends and family, go to movies, do things like anyone else only writing makes me happy. I mostly write at work though. If I didn't write at work I really wouldn't have a life. Unfortunately I got burned out when writing African Skies and Canadian Whiskey unfortunately because of laptop viruses, laziness and severe writer's block. The most important reason I couldn't finish it was that an author I really admire had a story plot that I was planning to use and I don't like to do anything similar to what someone else is already doing. That meant I had to come up with a different plot that still goes with everything else I wrote. I just haven't thought of anything. I thought maybe seeing the Sandra Bullock movie, The Proposal, might help inspire me. Maybe I'll go see it this weekend or during the week. I hate not finishing a story. I started reading through it again in January '09, making corrections as I went though I haven't reposted those corrected chapters yet, think I got to chapter five and just stopped there. I do apologize to anyone wanting for an update on that because I don't know when it will happen although I believe it will. It occurred to me that I have several stories that make up a RoLo series, along with one Jott, based on the Chris Claremont's Early Years when the second batch of X-Men first got together so I thought I’d give the chronological order in which they’re meant to be read, however only the Soul Mates one shots need to be read in a particular order, more or less.
