Personal Information: Still a veterinarian, still practicing. 10-06-11 - Writing still and now posting. Will the craziness ever cease? 8-13-11 - Well, I'm writing at the moment. Currently working on Curse of The Reapers. I'm up Chapter 27. Yes that makes six chapters that haven't been posted. Until I get to the end of the current arc, I'm not posting anything. It will need to be betaed too. Ah well, someday. It's actually getting very close to the third main arc. Kind of feel like writing on By Any Other Name, but I can't find the file with the new material. This always happens when I set a story aside for a few years o.o 2-19-11 - So I tried to post a chapter, but the site decided it would be lovely to shuffle the paragraphs around randomly. Why would the site swap paragraphs between my word document and the uploaded document? It made my head ache. Of course I didn't notice until after uploading. So I flipped out and went to delete the fic only I deleted the wrong fic. And and and... I. GIVE. UP. ON. THIS. WEBSITE. I have knitting to do and that makes me less homicidal. I might try uploading a chapter again somday when I feel like shoving splinters under my fingernails. 11-14-10 - Sometimes I hate this website. All I want to do is correct a small error in an old posting but the exported chapter will not maintain formatting. Centering, itallics, nothing. *weep* It's 1am and I've been fiddling with this silly thing for an hour. Going to bed. Now. Writing has been sporadic and on various fics. Focusing has not been my strong suit of late. 8-1-10 - WIP status report requested by Miss. Meow. By Any Other Name is not abandoned. It is not forgotten. Sometimes the right song comes on my iPod and it's all Gohan and Reinyn and High School like I imagined writing years ago when the fic was started. One of the core plot twists that is already written in without being explicitly stated has me nervous. I'm not sure it's something I can pull off in a non-cheesy manner but it's already wriiten in and I'd have to go back with my filet knife and remove it from the old chapters to move forward without it. So in my small amount of spare time I've written on things that don't make me cringe when trying to decide whether to go forward or back. Seal of Healing is at a spot where I need to get a few chapters ahead before I'm sure this is the way I'm going. So it may be a bit before I post. Don't want to back myself into ANOTHER corner on a fic. Also, in the let's complete some WIPs category, I've decided to finish the Phantom Zone. It was a lark when I started it so there was no outline. I haven't seen a Danny Phantom cartoon in a year. It's obvious I had a plan... unfortunately I don't remember what that originally was. So I'm going to make something up that works and give the silly thing an ending. Reading notes: I've been reading odd Harry Potter fics lately. Not the heavily screened and grammar checked stuff you can find on the moderated sites but the raw stuff on here. I need more James/Harry angsty family love stories (not incest!!). Father/son angst is just the best. The Not For Anything series has been my favorite lately. And the author updates regularly! I should be more like her/him. ;) | |||||||||
