Quote of the Week/Month/WHATEVER:
"this is the last song that i write
while still in love with you"
-- Charlie Fink

ABOUT ME, DELUDEDFREAK. (ooh ahh)
I am a girl.
I live in Orange County, California. It's very sunny here. And let me tell you people: it gets old. Fast. (and you wanna know who agrees with me? Tim Gunn! That's right, the guy from Project Runway! He AGREES WITH ME.)
I. AM. INDOORS-Y.
If I had to specify what subculture I am, I'd probably say I don't know. Though I have called myself or been called a weirdo, geek, nerd, cool, sarcastic, loner, bitch, idiot, hippie, straight-edge, and most recently, straight-edge hippie. I don't believe in categories, and neither does my school, apparently. (no cliques that i know of- everything i've heard of high school is a LIE)
I'm one of those people who read and don't review. Why? I don't like reviewing.
For some reason, I hate using improper nouns to describe someone whose identity is already known to the readers. Like saying "The brunette whispered to her friend" instead of "Jenny whispered to her friend." It's always names or pronouns. -shrug- Dunno why.

BTW: my picture is of me. it's a few years old, and dark. you cannot see my faaaaace ooh scary. but yeah, i'm sitting in my friend's table. we took the glass off. and i got stuck. and instead of helping me, someone took a picture. buttfaces.

Currently in love with:
--All things Bright Eyes/Bon Iver/Beirut/Arctic Monkeys...
--similarly, Conor Oberst, Justin Vernon, Zach Condon, (a young) Bob Dylan, Alex Turner...
--peace. :)
--ohgodpleasedon'tmakemegobacktoschoolidon'twannabeabigbadseniorbecausethatjustmeansmooooorewoooork
--pretty much ALL the characters from Gurren Lagann (Kamina, Yoko, Leeron, Boota, Viral, Dayakka, Gimmy, Darry, etc.) except for maybe Nia.
--slash. give me some boy on boy action, dammit!
--LaBlogotheque. I love you, Vincent Moon!!

prepare to be BLOWN away.
-strong gust of wind-
xP

That's me in a nutshell, pretty much. Except I forgot to add this: I'm a complete audiophile. MUSIC is my passion.

News!!

10 - 2 - 09 up to my neck in busy. i hate being a senior.

8 - 26 - 09 (why do I bother posting here?) i deleted all of my old news because it was making my profile look long and stupid. anyway, school starts in a week, i've got a shitload of stuff to do over the next schoolyear. i'm really not expecting for the laine story to get done with a few months, but i've got a slash story planned. hopefully it'll be short, simple, and enough to get me back in the game.

8 - 19 - 09 -doesn't want to jinx anything but- I might be maybe very possibly close to completing the first REAL rough draft of the Laine story. But I can't rejoice right now. Nothing's concrete. It'll take probably a few more months, especially since I go back to school soon, but who cares? This is probably the farthest I've EVER gotten. And, I gotta say, it feels good.

4 - 5 - 09 School is still eating my face, so I really haven't gotten ANYTHING written in months. It's bugging the fudges out of me, so I've taken to writing during class when I'm supposed to be listening so that school doesn't eat my face even more than it already has, but... I need to write. However, I am working on something that may or may not be school related- it's complicated, don't ask- and that something is the revival of Laine's story. Except it's gotten a MAJOR facelift. It is no longer scifi/fantasy, instead it is just modern. Real world/life. Yeah that. Anyway, what's hizzappening with that is I'm basically writing in a journal, and each entry is a drabble that tells a part of the story. A lot of the stuff is different, although most of the characters will be making an appearance EVENTUALLY though not parallel(perpendicular? tangential?) to their previous roles in historia numero uno. In other words, CONDDOR plays an EXTREMELY minor role in the new plot. Even more minor than before, and that was pretty minor. Anyway, yeah. It's got one new character so far, but he's only mentioned in passing, will probably show up in person later in the story for a short short short amount of time and then disappear into the mile-long-high aisles of the giant warehouse that is my brain. Dunno why I'm rambling on about this for an extended period... But it's SPRING break(!!) and I'm sorta kinda waiting for my yearbook teacher to upload the pictures I need so I can finish my page since the deadline was like a month ago. (...whoops...)
EDIT: also, the drabbles for the story can be told from any POV I want, so I probably won't be getting annoyed with Laine for a while as long as I don't have to write exclusively from her standpoint... That's exhausting.

About my Stories:
-they're extremely sporadic and random. my muse spews them out like vomit at spontaneous intervals.
-since i hardly ever read over them before posting them, they probably have an excessive amount of typos. sorry.
-they take forever to write because i've got annoying classes this year.
-i frequently pull elements from my own life and incorporate them into the stories. ...you can have your own opinion about this.
-they suck sometimes.
-often, they're really angsty. this is because writing angst is infinitely easier and more fun than writing fluff to me.
-sometimes, if i don't plan a story completely out, it'll end up pooting in my face and i'll discontinue it. like A Long Way Home.
-they take place in California a lot. it's just easier for me that way.
-I'm most proud of By the Time I Wake Up, Take Heed, Take Heed, and We're the Same. So, if you're going to read anything by me, those would be the ones to do it. And they need more reviews. (pretty please??)
