I'm not actually that insane, but my humor stories tend to be a bit...different, for a better word. I think that my name reflects my humor stories best and as I started out as a humor writer, I can't bring myself to change my pen name, no matter how much I may want. I work in retail and at a library and am a full-time student working on a political science major and philosophy minor. I'm also exploring applications for continuing my graduate studies in business management. Time is hard to come by due to that. I love to write - it will always be my passion - read, doodle, debate, and I love to sing. I'm very open and friendly, and I'm more than welcome to help when I can and check my email regularly, so any questions you have, PM me and I'll be sure to reply soon enough. :) I don't write as much as I used to anymore, but I do read when people suggest stories to me - regardless of whether it is their own story or someone else's - and I always review if I read something, even if I don't like it. I'll give an honest opinion (which is not a flame), but if you don't want concrit, please mention so in your story, not just your profile. I don't browse the site reading profiles, I search by categories and hop my reviewer's stories and their favorites. I've been writing on here for eight years, since 2003. My writing has developed significantly since then and I am embarrassed by a lot of my older writings, yet I kept the majority of them up to contrast them to my current writing to remind me - and others - how far I have come. I write in a variety of genres and I try my hardest to stay true to their personalities. My favorite has always, and will always, be YuGiOh! most because they have very flexible characters and you can do a good deal with them, unlike with many other fandoms. I've never been very good at writing chapter fictions, given that I update very slowly and lose many readers due to that. I write relationships very realistically, and I often throw in some philosophical questions for people to ponder and for the characters to work with. I generally don't write stories that have random make-out/sex sessions or sudden proclamations of love or anything like that. (At least not anymore :P ) That's how romance novelists write and it's not realistic and that is not my personal preference unless it is humor. My one shots don't have any of that unless it's taking after a relationship that's already developed in the show. Otherwise, I work with a lot of subtlety and development. If you don't have the patience for that, you probably won't like my writing. I write a lot of drama and romance - I used to write a good deal of humor and I'll occasionally throw that in my stories...though not in such demented doses hahaha. One last thing: I am very, very protective on my stories. It's really discouraging to see a bunch of hits and no reviews and it is because of this that I went through a really bad phase in the past year or two, because I've always loved hearing from people - it's helped my writing improve - and also, it lets me get some access to new stories. I always check out my reviewer's stories before I do a random search, simply because I figure they're interested in and will write similar couples/content. Even if not, you can be sure that you'll probably hear from me at least once on one your stories. If you don't want to add to the review count, please PM me. Also, the most valuable reviews are those that are in depth, that give criticism, and tell me what I'm doing right or wrong. I am willing to pose questions at the end of the chapter that I am wondering, if that would help and you're just not sure what to say. I would just really like to know how my writing is doing. If nobody tells me, I'll never know. It's not because I'm review whoring at all - I just really crave feedback. In addition, I pound out these chapters for you, my dear readers. I love to write and I'll always write for my own enjoyment, but I wouldn't even care about how long it took me to write if not for you. Writing an eight to fifteen page chapter takes a couple hours out of my very busy schedule, which is why I become as disappointed as I do. And really, overall, it's in everyone's best interests to give feedback, because as I said, I will more than likely return that feedback, regardless of whether it is in a review/PM/email. I know, because it has happened to me several times. Many of my old reviewers were also my favorite authors. They're no longer on the site, but the fact remains that it happens. Disclaimer? I write a lot of AU (Alternative Universe). Not because I don't like the YuGiOh! universe, because I do, but because most of it has been done. I write my one shots in the original universe, but many of my chaptered stories tend to be centered in AUs. In addition, I write a lot of romance/drama. I used to obsessively write humor stories - and perhaps I'll get back into that eventually - but I love to write stories that sort of wrench at your heart, where the characters are in conflict, and let's face it, I love romance and I love the fandoms I write, so of course I'm going to make it cute and sexy as much as I can. So, guys, this may not be your cup of tea unless you like that type of stuff. In addition, my main female characters in my main fandom (YuGiOh!) have - recently - been Mai and Anzu. I love Anzu's strong character and her loyalty and protectiveness. As for Mai, she has such a beautifully complex personality that it's hard not to love her. In a lot of ways, she's more of my favorite character than Anzu is, but is also not as flexible. I've noticed these two tend to get bashed a lot, so if you're looking for that here, you won't find it. I write a lot of different fandoms. I've only made chapter stories in a few (those being YuGiOh! and Inuyasha, I think), but once I get obsessed with a certain book/movie/show, I start to read fanfiction and then I'll attempt to write one, though it doesn't always get posted...So, don't be surprised if you see a bunch of random fandoms that don't seem to fit together and seem strangely clustered together by their post date. That is probably the reason for this. And, last, I religiously use details and I like to write long chapters/one shots. I got a complaint once that my one shot should have been cut in two, but that seems a bit ridiculous, given that it was twenty-two pages. I sometimes get lazy and post 5-6 page chapters/one-shots, so you'll get a break. I use a lot of details and it's not just strings of dialogue. (Anymore, at least, haha.) May 25, 2012 The quarter is concluding and I am so, so busy. I've got to write up my twenty-five page research paper, which is my senior paper that I have to pass in order to graduate. I'll be cranking that out for these next two weeks, but once I finish that, I will definitely be ready to finish my stories that I have on here. Will I be writing after that? Likely. But for now, we will focus on the ones that I have in progress. In any case, that's what I'll be doing until about June 8, when my senior portfolio is due, and then, June 16, when my commencement takes place.
