However, I only enjoy reading yaoi. I have nothing wrong with yuri, it just doesn't interest me. Most people believe yaoi is a "sin" or "evil", but let me tell you this-- I'm a pastor's son and, while the Bible may say that a man should not be with another man, it doesn't mean that God doesn't still love them. Just because you're Gay doesn't make you a sinner or evil or whatever people try to tell you-- God still loves you. God loves all his children-- white, black, straight, gay, bisexual, crippled, addicts, whatever. Just thought I'd give my two cents :) -...- //Star Ocean// //Super Smash Bros.// //Fire Emblem// -...- //Fire Emblem// 2. Tormod / Sothe -- This is my guilty pleasure :3 I just love the idea of these two together. Tormod can definitely bring out the playful side of Sothe and convince him to do pretty much anything. I'm not a huge Sothe / Micaiah fan (as mentioned above), so if Sothe never marries Micaiah, I'm sure Tormod would make his move ;) Although I'm not sure how Maurim would take that... Another story recommendation for a sexy Sothe and a mini-yaoi scene between these two would be Silk and Satin by GamberDragon. It's not focused on these two, but there's a definite nosebleed scene in the middle. Club + grinding = shmexy :P 3. Volug / Micaiah -- I used to be a big supporter of Volug / Nailah, but the more times I replayed Radiant Dawn, the more I realized that Nailah really doesn't care about Volug. Like, at all. Heck, she calls him a "dog" :/ Once I translated the scene where Volug gives Micaiah that gem (I think it was a Blue Gem?), I got the feeling that Volug had some feelings for Micaiah. Micaiah has too many potential suitors to even notice poor little Volug, and he'd never say it, but I feel like he harbors some hidden affection for her. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a story about them :( 4. Shinon / Mia -- These two are definitely a strange pairing, I will admit. I first heard of these two as a couple while reading The War by FlamingDoritos, and the more I think about it, the more I like it. I feel like it would show Mia's angstier side, and I love my angst so I would definitely be interested in seeing how these two would play out. Definitely not a fluffy, lovey-dovey couple, but one with plenty of story material to work with. 5. Volke / Sothe -- Guilty pleasure #2 :3 While I've never played Path of Radiance (only watched bits and pieces of it), I can't help but imagine there being some sort of mentor-student relationship between the two during the game. I can't imagine anything happening between the two until Radiant Dawn, but seeing as how Sothe's showing his midriff for all to see, I'm not sure Volke could resist himself. Then again, I'm not sure Sothe would argue ;) Silk and Satin, the story I mentioned earlier, is definitely my favorite story about them. 6. Meg / Zihark -- This is probably my strangest pairing on here, without a doubt. I got inspired to write something (that I haven't published quite yet) about these two after reading the Info conversation about them in Radiant Dawn. Clearly, Meg loves him even though she's never met him and I'm sure all of her dreams came true the moment she met him. While I'm personally a major Zihark / Ilyana supporter, if those two didn't work out, I'm sure Meg would be there to comfort him. Even if they aren't anything romantic, I can imagine Meg always having him and Ilyana over for cooking. Hmm, that might need to be a story somehow. 7. Sephiran / Sanaki -- Yeah, I know, major age difference. However, I have read plenty of stories about these two and I could see it working once the story has ended. Sanaki has interactions with all of three people throughout the two games, and the only man I can see handling her would be Sephiran. It's clear she's always thinking about him and idolizes him as a sort of immortal hero, so it's not too far off to think she has some sort of celebrity crush. Sephiran, although having a broken heart, clearly adores her, as neither attack one another during the fight and he gives her his Rudol Gem. Two story recommendations: Yours to Command, and there was a one-shot about them in Echoes of Daybreak. 8. Mist / Edward -- I just recently thought of these two together, but it's growing on me. I personally don't like Boyd / Mist (I was utterly weirded out when I found out they got together), as I wanted Mist to be with someone a bit more...childish. If we're going the non-yaoi path of Fire Emblem and Edward and Leonardo don't end up together, then I could see these two meeting in some forgotten little flower field and falling in love. Plenty of fluff potential right here. 9. Rafiel / Laura / Black Knight -- Yeah, it's definitely obscure but I love it. Laura needs a good man and, clearly, Aran's not about to step up and tell her he loves her. I had an idea about Laura praying for her perfect husband every night and that husband finding her wishing for it one night. Whether Laura chooses the gentle, fragile angel (both of whom are holy, saintly figures) or the dark, mysterious guardian, would be quite interesting. If the Black Knight didn't protect Micaiah, perhaps he would've chosen Laura? 10. Pelleas / Elincia -- Another newer idea, but one I'm particularly fond of. If you look at their personalities and mindsets, they're extremely similar. They are both rulers who are thrust into a position of power that they don't necessarily know how to deal with and find that they cannot properly lead their people due to their inexperience and insecurities. Just a cute idea I had randomly one day. Definitely gonna have to write something about them one day. | |||||||||
