Things You Should Know About Equestrienne Dreams
1. She loves Hillary Clinton. No, seriously. This should tell you something about her political inclinations.

2. She is double majoring in pre-vet and equestrian studies and plans to spend her life looking after horses/sundry other large animals IF she doesn't become a horse trainer instead. She has been riding off and on since the age of eight, can walk, trot, canter, gallop, and jump in both Western and English saddles, and has quite a knack with horses (and animals in general).

3. She is nineteen and a university freshman. She has perfect spelling and near-perfect grammar, can quote literature extensively (including Chaucer in the original Middle English), spout random facts of history, religion, literature, and biology, and debate intelligently on almost any topic, save mathematics. This is all the fault of being antisocial for nearly eight years, since she spent all her time with her nose in a book and somehow absorbed any number of bits of random and useless trivia instead of making friends.

4. She has been called, through the years, KelDomForever (in which incarnation she Sued poor Tamora Pierce to within an inch of her life), irishgymnast (in which she tried to make her stories better, while switching fandoms from mainly Tamora Pierce to mainly Harry Potter), Frivolity n Felines (in which she wrote nothing at all, and learned by reading other people's work), Applecloud (in which she began to write again, but didn't really publish, joined Dewfrost's Warriors forum, and became obsessed with the Warriors series), and Applecloud's Heart (in which she deleted her crap fics, became a mature writer, finally began to publish again, became a beta, and diversified into many different fandoms). Applecloud's Heart is the name she's kept the longest, but she figured it was time for a name that doesn't reflect a particular fandom, considering she's published ten different stories in seven different fandoms and four different media (books, TV, stage, film).

5. She very very rarely updates. She has been intending to type and post random one-shots from random fandoms, but hasn't gotten around to it. Stormwind is updated when the muse strikes, which is not often. She often feels that when a story decides it wants to get written, it gets written, and damn the consequences. Conversely, when she's got writer's block, it doesn't end till it damn well wants to. This often frustrates her.

6. She has a secret thing for Harlequin romance novels, DeForest Kelley, David Archuleta, Nora Roberts, accents, and slash fiction (especially when it's really really GOOD slash fiction). She has a soft spot for Star Wars' tauntauns. She also has a love/hate relationship with the Twilight series, alternately being addicted to it and thinking it's completely cliched literary tripe (which, it must be said, is true... but sometimes she just doesn't care).

7. She is addicted to Star Trek, The X-Files, David Archuleta, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Castle, Wicked, David Eddings (particularly the Belgariad/Malloreon universe and the Elenium/Tamuli universe), Honor Harrington, Meryl Streep, Susanna Thompson (oh, Susanna!), horses, chocolate, Out of Africa, David Archuleta, anything with fur except tarantulas, good English tea, CSI (the original), classic movies, popcorn, EasyMac, and good debates.

8. She will listen to virtually any style of music with the exception of headbanger metal and rap, which she classifies as musical rape. However, she usually prefers country, power ballads, or pop.

9. She WILL win any argument she gets into, be it politics, religion, or other. Unless she loses.

10. She is a child at heart and a hopeless romantic. She is not lucky in love, hence the fluff addiction.

11. She "appreciates hot, regardless of gender," to quote a particularly off-putting character from Scrubs, and is a solid three on the Kinsey scale. She falls in love with personality, not with what's hiding in your trousers. If this is a problem, please, feel free to leave, and go find a crowbar to pry your mind open while you're at it.

12. She ABHORS Mary Sues, hypocrisy, bad grammar, bible-beaters, and close-minded people. However, her biggest pet peeves are animal cruelty and homophobia.

13. She is a much, much, much better beta-reader than she is a writer, and is Perfect Imagination accredited (PI:6541026637). If you're interested, her email is irishdramaqueen2008(at)yahoo(dot)com (parentheticals, obviously, are used to sneak around the site's email blockers).

14. She is currently engaged in a madly passionate (and imaginary) love affair with Dr. McCoy from Star Trek: The Original Series and worships at the feet of his actor, DeForest Kelley. She also has a serious thing for: Captain Kirk, Captain Janeway, Chakotay, Captain Archer, Major Kira, and Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood edition).

15. She has very high standards regarding the fic she reads. If it has too many obvious spelling mistakes, typos, or evidence of careless spellcheck usage, she doesn't read it. She can, on occasion, be suckered into reading a Mary-Sue, as long as it's not an annoying Mary-Sue, and in fact prefers them when she's having a bad day.
