I would like to take the time to express my deepest thanks and sincerest gratitude for Nakhti. She has helped and taught me so much in my rewrite of The Mummy: A Final Rising, and has even written a large portion of the first chapter. Her merciless editing and scathing comments have taught me a lot about writing, and even though I have a very long way to go with my style she’s helped me a lot. So, thank you so much, Nakhti, for all your help. I deeply appreciate everything you’ve done for me.

I am completely rewriting The Mummy: A Final Rising. It was originally published in 2006 and it took me a grand total of four months to write 88 000 words. (I obviously put so much thought into it.) Seven months after finishing it, I started writing its sequel, completely deluded that the story was a masterpiece…but then, after a couple of reality-slapping reviews which came two years later (and here I would also like to thank Stargazing BasketCase), I read back over it and went, “wow, I can’t believe I ever put this on the internet for people to read.” Now, I’m going back over and rewriting the entire thing. In the version which used to be there, Rick O’Connell was so Out-Of-Character is wasn’t funny (a lot of people asked me if I hated him), my three Original Characters were complete and utter Mary Sues, there were massive plot holes everywhere, nothing was in context and the whole thing was just ridiculous. Hopefully that will all change. The basic storyline is still there, but the story itself will be so different that you won’t be able to recognise it. Obviously this will impact the sequel, Sinister Resurrection, greatly, though on that note I would like to thank Doctor U. N. Owen for her biting chapter-by-chapter critiques of the sequel and for her help in critiquing the prologue of The Mummy: A Final Rising (which hasn’t been scrapped, just moved to a more relevant part of the story).

The rewrite will take a long time. I’m very busy this year at school and I should be focusing on school work, but I like to think of fanfiction as my relaxation outlet. I don’t know how long it’ll take, but I hope my writing has improved. Constructive criticism is most welcome.

Again, thank you, Nakhti, for all your help, and thanks to Doctor U. N. Owen and Stargazing BasketCase. I really appreciate everything you guys have done.
