Author has written 5 stories for Mummy, and Twilight. And death shall have no dominion. "And Death Shall Have No Dominion", Dylan Thomas (1933) I would like to take the time to express my deepest thanks and sincerest gratitude for Nakhti. She has helped and taught me so much in my rewrite of The Mummy: A Final Rising (entitled The Damned, as of 4 October 2009), and has even written a large portion of the first chapter. Her editing and criticism has taught me a lot about writing, and even though I have a very long way to go with my style she’s helped me a lot. So, thank you so much, Nakhti, for all your help. I deeply appreciate everything you’ve done for me -- and thanks to Doctor U. N. Owen and Stargazing BasketCase as well! UPDATES: Sunday, 4 October 2009 -- As of today, I have done four things on FFNet. The first and second were deleting two stories, Adulation and Daylight. The former was a one-shot which I was dissatisfied with, the latter a rewrite of the abhorred Twilight series which has been on Hiatus since I can't remember when. Thus, their removal. The third thing I have done was update The Mummy: A Final Rising, and the fourth thing which I have done is rename it. It is now called The Damned. Please take a peek at it, and I would much appreciate it if you could also leave a review! Constructive criticism is welcome. Monday, 26 October 2009 -- I am in the middle of my HSC exams. (That's Higher School Certificate for you non-Australians). I am proud to say that, to date, I have completed Advanced English Paper One, Advanced English Paper Two, General Mathematics, and Ancient History. I have the following left: Biology, Extension One English, and Modern History. So...wish me luck? Anyway, exams aside (for such a topic is quite distasteful), The Damned is well and truly underway. I'm quite happy with the new version, which feels must more evenly-paced and hopefully more sophisticated, and I hope to have it completed by next year some time. But then again, I'm shocking when it comes to deadlines, so "next year some time" more accurately translates to "I have no idea when". Just saying. Thursday, 29 October 2009 -- Ahem. Yes, I know I'm in the middle of my exams (but only two left!), but I still somehow manage to neglect study in favour of story planning. I have deleted all remains of what used to be Sinister Resurrection, though I would like to give a massive THANK YOU to all of my reviewers for that story, and that I couldn't have gotten as far as I did without your support. Even though the story has been deleted and the plots have changed significantly, there will always be a thread that is based around my original plans. Originally I had planned an epic of three stories: The Mummy: A Final Rising, Sinister Resurrection, and the unwritten From The Ashes. I still have plans to write those epics, only with refined plots, characters, and style (I hope). As you know, The Mummy: A Final Rising has been retitled The Damned and is currently in-progress. Once that has been completed, I will continue on with what was once known as Sinister Resurrection but will in future be known as When We Were Gods. Like I said, the plot is drastically different and is probably the farthest from fanfiction you can imagine next to Nakhti's incredible Harem Nights series -- although I in no way pretend to even be NEAR her standard. I'm just saying it'll be more like original fiction than anything else. Oh, and the sequel to that, which has been in the making for a few years now, has changed from From The Ashes to Death's Dominion. (At the moment, anyway. This is subject to change considering I only have a MASTER PLAN at the moment and have not actually finished The Damned.) So, yeah. That's it from me for now, and I'm hoping to get another chapter of The Damned up soon. Cheers! Thursday, 5 November 2009 -- IT IS OVER! My high-school life is officially over! I'm finally free! Wow...thirteen years of schooling and now I'm not quite sure what to do. I've got a lot more free time to work on my fanfiction and original fiction now, so I'll be having a lot of fun with that! My stories are developing nicely, but no-one's reviewing...does anyone actually read these stories anymore, or are they all too obsessed with Mummy rewrites? Maybe I shouldn't have taken my 2006 rewrites down. Ah well. For those of you who actually are reading, thank you so much! Feel free to leave a review -- remember, constructive criticism is welcome! Next update for The Damned should hopefully be sooner rather than later. (Just in case anyone is curious, Chapter Eight will be called "Seeing Double".) Cheers, guys! Sunday, 8 November 2009 -- So, I posted Chapter Eight of The Damned yesterday. I'm quite happy with the end result, not so happy that people aren't reviewing, but I guess we can't have everything in life. It's probably one of my better works to date, aside from Eighteen, Seven, and Imprisoned, but it's too close to the movies (TM and TMR) to transform into original fiction and post on my FictionPress account. Shame, really, but I'll definitely keep writing. I know people are reading it, however few, and it gives me much personal satisfaction. Don't know when the next update will be...I know I used to be into that emotional blackmail stuff where I'd write an author's note saying something like "If I don't get at least five reviews for this chapter then I won't post the next one!" but I'd like to think that I've grown out of that. There are absolutely no author's notes in The Damned, just the obligatory disclaimers. Author's notes annoy me. Though in case anyone is interested, again, Chapter Nine is underway, and will be up whenever it's finished, I guess. Thanks!
