Not necessarily because of any of my talent or anything, but because I genuinely enjoy it and the idea and I would be devoting actual attention to it. -Could be Important: I just filled out my BetaReader profile thing. Interested? Hit me up yo. -Important for my sanity: I am embarrassed by my earlier work (guh, the songfics) so I apologize for the songfics and "The Beauty of a Werewolf". And, even though people seem to like it, I also apologize for "Like Father, Like Son". I will, however, keep them up because they document my evolution as a writer. -If You Like That Sort of Thing: I think I can safely say that I have "pulled my dog out of the race" when it comes to anime fanfiction. Occasionally I may read one or two, but - seeing as I've given away all my magazines and am considering selling my DVDs - that time in my life has passed. The Real Faith The date is sometime nearing the end of June of 2009. I have been a high school graduate for little over a month now, and I feel the usual jitters of terror and excitement; two months from now, I will be a college student, working (hopefully) on a major in journalism with minors in sociology and political science. It is my dream to work with a magazine; I am addicted to Adobe InDesign and, though at first I was not fond, Macromedia Fireworks. My name is Faith and I will be 19 in November. I've been on LJ for a very long time; I cannot describe my thrill at discovering I could write my own stories. I admit they were only written to receive reviews. Now I, like I said above, cringe when I see them. :) I am a very faith-driven person. I am also very opinionated, though odds are if you were to meet me, you would not realize. It is not really important to me to prove a point. I would rather have peace. I am very feministic. I believe that we ALL have rights as individuals to pursue whatever we want to pursue and, however cheesy or clichè it may sound, to be whatever and whomever we wish to be. It might interest you to find that I fall directly in the middle of the Dem vs. Rep, Lib vs. Conservative spectrums. I am straight, prolife, and a supporter of gay rights. I think everyone should pay the same taxes, do not agree with war, and believe that there is global warming and that it's our responsibility to do something about it. I love to read. Some of my favorites are John Steinbeck's East of Eden, J. D. Salinger's Franny and Zooey, and Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Of course, I do greatly appreciate the Bible, and not just for the good it does my soul; Ecclesiastes, for one, is very beautiful. As for movies, I would take a cheesy, fake romantic comedy over a horror film/novel ANY day. And, as is obvious by the stories I've authored, I am a huge fan of Harry Potter. Unlike most of the people here, I liked the Epilogue. I am a huge, huge, HUGE fan of canon. I despise the Harry/Snape, Harry/Draco, etc. stories, as well as Harry/Hermione. Harry/Ginny and Lily/James are my absolute favorite things to read. :) I want to explain something really quick about my story "What Angels Fear". It originally started as me watching Episode III, feeling sad, and wanting to write. It soon became something, sort of, about redemption. To be honest, I thought it was extremely wimpy of Padmè to die. While the summary focuses more on Obi-Wan and Anakin, that was one of my motivators in wanting to redo it and vamp it up. She's so strong in Episodes I-II, such a figure of leadership and confidence, and then she totally wimps out. Guh. It's How You Uh-prush-ee-ate Please, please check out my favorites. As I've developed as a writer, I've gone from a falls-in-love-with-any-fic kind of person to highly critical and someone who asks a lot from a story. So, most of the stories in my favorites actually deserve to be favorites, yeah? Friends Make The(My) World Go 'Round I realize I might not sound like a lot of fun. But I'm really friendly and I love everybody. I don't know why, I just do. I don't have it in me to dislike somebody. On LJ I would love to become friends. :) Mostly it's me ranting and nothing too much about my writing, but hey, friends are awesome! However if you do add me, please tell me. I have two emails, and I consistantly forget to check one, which happens to be the one to which story alerts are sent. Therefore sometimes I miss some updates.
