I'm a fantasy and sf writer, occasionally dabbling in horror stories. My first book is due to come out in a few months. But what isn't really known much about me is I'm a huge fan of Pern and Middle Earth -- I love tales that can so completely suck me into their lands that I feel disoriented when I put the book down, or turn the movie off! I've tried for years to create such lands for others, now. Maybe I'm succeeding, maybe not. Who am I to say?

They say that trying something new every decade or so is good for your brain, gives it a bit of a lift. Doing such a thing more often is even better. Well, I'm a fan, why not write fiction I can't really write anywhere else, that I used to play in college in MOO's?

I'm liable to put a lot of Harper Hall fic in here, because that's my main love within Pern... but there will be Dragonriders, Hobbits, and the occasional weird Trek with Spock, Bones or Q. I'd write Ender's Game fic if I could, believe me the world Card created in "Xenophile" was awesome...
