Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, and Numb3rs. For a brief introduction, I'm Judy, I'm seventeen. I am obsessed with Harry Potter, and I'm addicted to Numb3rs fanfiction. I also read CSI (the Las Vegas version) fanfiction, and occasionally Navy NCIS.I don't watch much TV anymore, mostly because I got out of the habit last year. However, just about every week, I plop myself on my couch and watch Numb3rs. If I'm bored, sick, or otherwise find myself with excess times at the right times, I also like to watch Hell's Kitchen, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Criminal Minds. For some other information about me, I am what a lot of people call a 'math nerd'. People even go as far as to call me a 'math genius'. I would consider myself borderline 'math smart' and 'math nerd'. Don't believe it if somebody tells you I am a 'math genius', though. I do not spend my free time thinking of theorems (heck, I nearly failed my Geometry course). But, yes, I would accept 'math nerd' as an accurate description for me. Along with enjoying math, I spend my free time writing stories (or poems, sometimes), or studying music of some sort. I especially enjoy singing, but I also play piano (this is my twelfth year, though as of last year, I no longer take lessons), and I've played clarinet. Currently, I am saving up for a guitar and the necessary accessories for teaching myself how to play it once I get it. I write original fiction as well as fanfiction, but I generally prefer fanfiction. For plot lines, I can generally keep it in my head, but if I have to come up with my characters, I prefer to spend up to a month coming up with their characteristics, skills, history, and faults. If I write fanfiction, the characters are pretty much handed to me on a silver platter, along with all the fixings. Some people have asked me how I've gotten ideas for my stories. The true answer is: I'm not quite sure. I find it does help if I can connect with one of the characters in a certain situation, and then I take that idea from there. This is probably why it's easy for me to write from Charlie Eppes' point of view, or a story about Charlie, because I feel I can really connect to the math nerd and how he is feeling. For original fiction or original characters, I take personality traits from myself and/or some of my friends, but I try not to write about Mary Sues, or carbon copies of my friends without their explicit consent. (People I don't like, though, I can sometimes take and make the antagonist in a story. One of my greatest pet peeves is when authors write stories with no sense of spelling or grammar (see icon). To me, it doesn't matter if the story idea is the best I have ever heard of. Sentences that have no punctuation (or very little), bad spelling, etc, show to me that the writer doesn't care about the story much, and if the author doesn't care about the story, why should I? Keep in mind, I don't mean an occasional misspelling or grammer mistake. That happens to everyone. I also don't mean if the characters in the story are actually using chatspeak (instant messaging, passing notes, etc). What I care about is language like chat-speak. Lyk, u haff no idea wut im sayin, do u/ That said, if anybody is upset about this, and you believe you fall into this catagory of people, but you really do care about your story, I'm willing to beta-read your story. I would prefer one of the shows/book catagories I mentioned earlier and select other shows, but as long as I know the basic story line, I will be willing to read over your story. That's why I leave my private messaging and email open. TO THOSE DIRECTED HERE FROM LILJUNEBUG'S PROFILE OR STORIES: Lives of Sacrifice and Private Matters were ideas that lilJunebug had, and she worked with me on them to write them. However, if you are looking more for her writing style rather than her story ideas, you aren't going to find them here. Our writing styles are very different, and I'm not saying one is better than the other. Give the two stories a shot, but don't expect to see her writing style in them. Status of my stories: | |||||||
