1.18.09 ~ HELLO AGAIN. IT'S BEEN A WHILE. : )

Hey, everyone! Hope the new year so far has been a great one and continues to be wonderful! I've been having a decent time myself, though school and life have been a little hectic, and even winter break was pretty busy. My schedule this quarter involves only 3 rather rigorous days and 1 pretty easy one, so let's hope I have time to write! (Don't tell my professors, but lately I've been opting to scribble random M&M drabbles on the corners of my notes rather than truly paying attention to the finer points of morphology and/or the post-war history of East Asia... which bodes well for my readers, I suppose. XD)

On a slightly more serious note for fans of Unbreakable, I'd just like to ask that everyone please be considerate in their reviews. I know we're pretty slow at updating, but if you have complaints about our pace which may involve unpleasant terms, it is not courteous to post them in a public manner on an all-age friendly website. If you really must vent, feel free to send me a PM. Honestly, I really don't mind if you PM me your complaints about update pace, and when I have time (and if the message is not insulting) I will of course reply accordingly. Hitoshi and I thank you all very, very much for keeping up with this fic and for everyone's continued support!

Lastly, a note on the fic I've mentioned somewhere below in my profile named Stigmata. I said I was posting it soon, but I'm actually having a rather hard time with editing and finalizing (don't even ask about writing more... I only have the first two or three chapters...ugh) so I'll have it up as soon as I can. In the meantime, I'll be attempting to clean up and start posting the fic I've been diligently planning in my class notes. XD

~STRUCK~

I'm not really sure what caught my attention first. Maybe it was a flash of gold, the way the lights from the dance floor glanced off of the golden-blonde when he turned his head or the way the thick strands spread around his shoulders when he tilted his head back to take a swig of the Blue Ice vodka he held casually in one slim hand. Whatever the reason, I let my eyes follow him for a moment, propping my chin up on one hand and watching discreetly out of the corner of my eye. I always wear goggles--it's kind of a weird habit, I guess--so I was sure no one could tell exactly what I was looking at.

And then he turned his head suddenly and he met my eyes. Looked right at me. Straight through the goggles and all. Looked at me and smirked slowly.

I damn near fell out of my chair.

Yay! Hope that was at least somewhat enjoyable! It will be about 4 chapters, AU set in college, with the POV obviously first-person Matt. Maybe I can post the first chapter sometime this week. It's nothing fancy, but I've been having fun with it. I rarely write from Matt's perspective.

I'm very, very happy people want me to update. I really am. So please know that I don't like making you wait, but I've started college, I have a lot of homework, and my co-author of Unbreakable is even busier than I am (she's a double-major junior in college with a job as well).

So I'm very sorry to Unbreakable fans, but please please be patient. Chapters are going to be slow, but I swear we won't drop it, and in the meantime I'm working on a few smaller projects of my own and one more joint project (all Matt/Mello... we're both addicted. Hope you like Death Note 'cuz that's all you're getting for a long time)

Please be patient with me (us) and I promise you'll get updates eventually... Just don't expect them more often than once monthly. Apologies and thanks!

I am currently a freshman at UCLA interested in majoring in English, so any and all reviews are greatly appreciated. I enjoy constructive criticism so please don't be shy.

A little about myself:

I was born in Bulgaria and am fluent and literate in both Bulgarian and English. Due to my deep interest in and strong ability to learn different laguages, I am also currently studying Japanese and am interested in perhaps adding Italian, Russian, and Latin at a later time.

Fanfics:

Just to let everyone know, I do mostly ONESHOTS. I'm a very busy person, and unfortunately rarely get as much time as I'd like for writing, so when i get an idea, it tends to be oneshot-ish.

I have been working on longer fics lately, however, especially my ongoing, epic-sized Unbreakable, written with my very good friend Hitoshi-chan. I have a few more multi-chaptered works going on, but I think so far all of those appear to be heading for a less-than-10-chapters finish. -shrug- We'll see.

Like I said, I'm rather fond of oneshots. The following are as of now my only ongoing fics:

UNBREAKABLE: I'm trying to keep this one being updated roughly every other month, and if we can get it to once a month it would be wonderful. I usually tend to upload late at night, however, since I'm a horrible night-owl and hardly ever get to bed before 3am, so updates will probably be discovered the next day (unless some readers are horrible night-owls as well... XD )

STIGMATA: Another Matt/Mello I'm currently working on. I will try to post the first chapter soon, but I've kind of been having writer's block with this one so it may not be up for a while. I'm not sure how long it will be, but it will be based on canon Death Note... as much as canon killed me. Maybe I won't write the ending... Depending on how much I can stand to torture myself and my two favorite characters...

STRUCK: AU M&M in a college setting. This was written with insipiration from the song Paralyzer by Finger Eleven and it probably won't be very long. Maybe about four chapters, I think, one for each line of the song's chorus. Anyway, this should be up pretty quickly.

More? So I've been working on a few other projects...all M&M... I'll post updates and hopefully the stories soon... Sorry, guys. College sucks.
