About me: I'm a female, married, Midwestern artist who's way too old to be reading fanfic. I enjoy anime/manga, video games, cooking, reading, and drawing. I tend to stick to drawing, but I've recently started writing fanfic as well; maybe one of these days I'll make a doujinshi.

I find that I often tend to gravitate towards secondary or minor characters (especially with shounen manga that feature bland audience identification protagonists.) I also tend to like weird/unconventional pairings, especially those that come with all sorts of complex emotional/psychological baggage that can make for interesting reading. Despite my love of weird pairings I don't really read much slash fic, it's just not my thing usually (although I have nothing against slash per se.)

I also am rather opinionated about what I like and don't like about a series; don't take it personally, I'm just surly, impatient, and a little old.

Favorite Characters and Pairings:

Naruto: My current obsession since I just started watching Shippuden recently. It reminds me of why I started following Naruto to begin with back in the olden days before the filler, since the Akatsuki are interesting villains, there's some nice character development, many of my favorite characters make an appearance, and at least towards the beginning there isn't that much emo Sasuke dragging everything down. No offense to Sasuke fans, he just embodies the shounen archetype that I tend to hate. I'm actually kind of warming up to him in non-massacre!AU stories though, where he often has an entertaining brother complex for Itachi.

- Favorite Characters: I pretty much like everybody besides Sasuke and Orochimaru (gives off that creepy pedophile vibe..but he's growing on me since I started writing him he's just too much fun.) Particular favorites are Sasori, Kabuto, Deidara, Shikamaru, Sai, Gaara, Naruto, Sakura, Itachi, Kankuro, Kiba, Kakashi, Genma, Lee and Hinata.

- Favorite Pairings: Sasori x Sakura is my favorite, followed by Deidara x Sakura (Sasori x Sakura x Deidara = OT3.) Sai x Sakura is my favorite 'good guy' pairing for Sakura. Other favorites include Shikamaru x Temari, Naruto x Hinata (utterly adorable,) Kabuto x Sakura, Itachi x Sakura, Anko x Iruka, Gaara x Sakura, and Kakashi x Sakura. I dabble in many other different pairings, and I'm pretty open to new ones, no matter how cracky they may be. Sasuke x Sakura as a side pairing makes me giddy if it's one-sided egoist!Sasuke filled with jealous outrage that Sakura dared to move on after he ditched her, just because he deserves to suffer for being so mean to her in canon.

Ouran High School Host Club:

- Favorite Characters: Kyouya, Kaoru, Hikaru, Kasanoda, Haruhi

- Favorite Pairings: Kyouya x Haruhi, Kaoru x Haruhi, Hikaru x Haruhi, and Kasanoda x Haruhi (Kasanoda's shyness makes this pairing incredibly cute)

Final Fantasy VII: Still my favorite Final Fantasy game for the characters, although I do love 4 and 6 almost as much. I've been hoping for Crisis Core to be translated into English, since I love the Turks.

- Favorite Characters: Tifa, The Turks, Sephiroth, Vincent, Rufus, Cid

- Favorite Pairings: Reno x Tifa, Rufus x Tifa, Vincent x Tifa, Sephiroth x Tifa, Tseng x Elena, Rude x Elena

Harry Potter: I sort of have a love/hate feeling for Harry Potter. I've never really liked Harry that much, and there are some aspects of the storyline that I'm not fond of. In addition, I really dislike Ginny's change in character into Super-GRRL Power!Ginny that is perfect at everything in OotP; I liked the cute, awkwardly shy Ginny of the previous books (see Hinata from Naruto for an example of how this type of character can still kick ass while retaining their endearing qualities.) Plus, Severus Snape definitely got a raw deal. Overall though, I still love most of the story, the setting and plenty of the other characters.

- Favorite Characters: Luna, Hermione, Snape, Neville, Percy, Tom Riddle, Draco, Remus, Pre-OotP!Ginny

- Favorite Pairings: Tom x Luna, Tom x Hermione, Harry x Luna, Snape x Hermione, Neville x Pre-OotP!Ginny, Neville x Luna, Tom x Pre-OotP!Ginny, Percy x Hermionie (let's hear it for bossy nerd love!)

Fruits Basket: I'm more of a fan of the anime versus the manga. Favorite pairings include Akito x Tohru, Shigure x Tohru, Kyou x Tohru and Hatsuharu x Tohru.

xxxHolic: Watanuki x Yuuko, Watanuki x Zashiki Warashi, and Doumeki x Himawari.

Hellsing: I love vampire stories! Alucard x Integra is where it's at.

Labyrinth: I loved this movie as a kid, and wore out at least one videotape copy of it. I prefer Jareth x Adult!Sarah stories, because IMO Sarah needs to be mature enough to stand on equal footing with Jareth.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro: The manga is great, I found the anime disappointing (except for the OP by Nightmare, because I love them.) I think I'm one of only three people outside of Japan that supports Higuchi x Yako. ;)

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei: Probably my favorite anime at the moment; it's an utter crime that there isn't more attention paid to this show outside of Japan. The manga is being published in the US now, check it out! I don't really ship for this series, but favorite pairings would be Nozomu x Matoi and Kino x Ai (there seems to be a bunch of great Japanese fanart sites centering on the male students + Ai.)

- (April 30, 2009) - My first full oneshot, Tactile Feedback, has been posted at last! I'm thrilled to finally have gotten this out. :)

- (April 29, 2009) - I've decided that I will continue Attitude Problem, and have begun working on it. The first chapter will probably see some minor revision.

- (March 20, 2009) - I started my first foray into creative writing roughly a month ago. I've got a few different story ideas percolating that are finally taking shape, mostly for my current obsession, SasoSaku. My first oneshot should be ready for posting very soon! :)
