Author has written 18 stories for Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Heroes, Psych, Supernatural, and Glee. Writing fanfiction has always been about practice and fun for me so I'm trying to keep it that way and am only focusing on the fandoms that most interest me at the moment. I recently received a review expressing confusion when it comes to Breaking the Stone and how drastically the writing changes when you hit chapter 7 and why the author name changes from Harikari to Nox. I'm sorry for the confusion and here's the explanation. My original pen name on fanfiction dot net was Nox2. I kept this for a time but eventually changed my pen name to what it is now - Harikari. Now why did the writing change so obviously? I wrote BtS wayyyy back in 2003 when I was still in high school. Yeah. It was my first ever fanfic and though I had a lot of fun writing it there are a LOT of flaws in that story. So a few years ago I had a vague idea for a final fic in that universe and realized I would have to go back to BtS and Broken to fix some serious formatting problems and grammar mistakes and so on if I wanted to write a new and final fic in the Trilogy because my writing had changed and improved (at least I like to think so) over the years. So I got to work and edited chapters 1-6 of Breaking the Stone. But I ONLY edited chapters 1-6. In Part One I edited the author name so that it was my current pen name and not something I had used as my name 8 or 9 years ago. Which is why when a reader hits chapter 7 the name they see is Nox and why the formatting and some of the writing is pretty terrible (what they're seeing when they hit that chapter is my old high school pen name and my old high school writing skills). I finished re-doing chapters 1-6 but never got to chapter 7 and beyond because of various reasons. Like, getting interested in other fandoms and writing fics for them instead or real life issues or original writing. I plan to one day at LEAST finish up my editing of BtS but right now it isn't a priority. I hope that clears up any confusion. | |||||||
