Writing Pet Peeves: bad spelling and/or grammar, Mary-Sues, under/overuse of commas. I hate it when fics that take place in any time period (1800s especially) other than our own and there is no historical accuracy whatsoeer. Like an iPod in a Harry Potter fic. Also, blatant denying of Canon. (For example, if you are writing a Phantom of the Opera fiction where Raoul is a abusive/a drunk, Erik is a masterful virgin, and Christine wears low-cut dresses and keeps her hair down all the time, and all of this activity is percieved as normal, than you are denying canon. Another example: You are writing a Harry Potter fic, and Ron is a ridiculously stupid bigoted person, and Hermione is a sex goddess, and Malfoy wears leather pants, and Harry is a vampire, you are denying canon.)

M/R rated stuff. Yes, I write it. (I'm told it's pretty dang hot, too.) But do I post it here? No. It either goes on my LiveJournal or my other FFN account. Why? I have friends on FFN that are under 13, and they will read anything I write even with warnings. (Not to mention some of it is kind of embarrasing.)
