My Secrets Series

Secrets--The main story, which I had no clue would span out into what it did.

Intrigue--The prequel, because even though Secrets focused on two main characters, the others had way too much background that deserved to be shown.

Compelled--The sequel to the prequel, so it's more like Intrigue Part Two.

Impulse--A sort of accompaniment thing that I compare the format to Hikaru Kaitou's Their Love in Fifty Words (which, if you haven't read, is amazing), because not every important bit of the characters'...um, experiences...are shown in Intrigue. (You'll have to read Intrigue to understand what I mean about "experiences").

Unveiled--The sequel, which, as of now, is finally posted, but I'm still focusing on finishing Compelled and the current storyline in Impulse right now before really getting to the actual plotline in this one.

Basically, I loved GG (Gossip Girl) the book series, and I love the show, too, although I stopped watching it after half of the second season because it started to deviate too much from the series, and I thought that the author of GG didn't make the characters to what she could've. She also didn't take advantage of the setting and plot and intricated as much as she could've, and so...well...I thought I should try. And since the characters of GG are just too...slightly annoying for me to write, I thought I'd use Tsubasa characters. (And then in Intrigue, I ended up using xxxHolic and X/1999 characters, too. At least the ones that crossover with TRC).

So there you have it.

Update (2/20/10): In lieu of the New Year, I erased all my 09 updates to start out anew. And the first update of the year is that none of you Secrets readers should fear for the lives of Impulse, Unveiled, or Compelled. However, you readers of the other KuroFai stuff that I have "ongoing" (-_-) should definitely fear for those fics lives, because they probably won't be alive for much longer. Erm. Don't kill me dead, please.

On the brighter side, Watch This Space is going nowhere, meaning you shouldn't fear for its life as much, but then again, I doubt that anyone at all reads that, which I can't blame them for since Naruto has gone down the drain a year ago and doesn't seem to be showing any inclination of perhaps climbing back up the drain and cleansing itself of sewer gunk. In any case, as you might or might not have already figured out, my snailpace updating is due to JE and Kpop sucking out my energy/time/soul. But regardless of how slow, I assure you 100,000 that this snail is not going to die any time in the near and hopefully far future. Although, in the near future (when that time of life is approaching--and by that time of life, I mean college applying), the snail might be getting even slower than it already is, which is probably very close to death. But the Secrets stuff will be finished by then.

I really, really, really hope it will be, at least. But I mean, c'mon, I'm a freshman, so it most likely maybe definitely probably will be finished by next summer at the latest. And even that sounds like way too much time.

Update (5/16/10): Some of you might be wondering if I've died, especially considering I haven't updated Compelled in three months. But I'm still alive and kicking (somewhat), and the new chapter of Compelled only has an eighth left to be finished and it's happily waiting to be polished and put up in a few days, probably either tomorrow or sometime in the week. I'll do my very best to get it to you by next Sunday if worst comes to worst. Since the school year is dying down, and finals are coming, the chances of more updates are proportional to how lazy I am in studying for my exams. Rest assured that we get lots of down time the days leading right up to finals week and during the finals itself I obviously don't have any actual school, just dropping in for a few hours at a time, so I'm really going to try and write then, too.

As far as the rest of the spring goes, you'll probably have Compelled finished, or at least really close to being finished. Seishiro and Subaru's storyline in Impulse is actually even closer to being finished than Compelled is, and if enough of you want me to, I'll keep Impulse open even after Unveiled ends, because I have Touya and Yukito's storyline started on my thumb drive, and it's a really good one (I think, at least). And then if there are any takers, I might be brave enough to take requests on certain parts of the timeline that any of you want me to write for your favorite characters.

But that's kind of far ahead. This summer I'll be going back to Indonesia for my grandparents' (on both my mom and dad's sides) fiftieth anniversaries, so I'll be gone for the month of July, if I remember right ~_~ and I guess I might be recuperating from jet lag for another week after that. And then there's that horrific thing we call summer homework. But I'll have lots of June and some of August to write some more.

So yeah. That's it for now. ^_^/0_0

Update (6/23/2010): SUMMER! Who's happy? I am. It's been over a month since the last update so I thought that whoever still reads my profile (I personally don't blame you if you don't any more considering that I think I have to dust this thing off) should never feel like I'll never update again because I will, at least unless I die. So if you don't hear from me for six months, it's either because sophomore year apparently is tougher than freshman year, or my plane to or from Indonesia crashed and I didn't make it.

But anyway, Compelled should be coming along much faster now that I can spend twelve to fifteen hours in front of my laptop every day, and Unveiled is beating along pretty steadily. Impulse is getting there, but since other than Seishiro and Subaru, it's just a chronicles-type-of-thing, I'm not too pressured in updating that. I even have a feeling that after Unveiled ends, I'll keep Impulse open for a while since there's so many moments left to fill in with the Circus (unless you all are getting sick of them? o_O...?) that I can't possibly do it all before Unveiled is finished.

I'm not sure what I'll do for TRC after the Secrets series is finished. I know that I'll definitely be occupied with Watch This Space, so that's for those of you who are into Naruto (psh, who isn't?) which is probably everyone who knows anything about manga, because even though the Naruto series is dying a slow, painful death nowadays, the concept is still amazing in my opinion. If any of you out there know about Johnny's Entertainment, I might possibly be doing a TRC series or set of drabbles or something with that--an AU-type thing because I can't get my head interested in canon stuff now that the series is over. ;_; And maybe not even JE--maybe just all of JE and Kpop and the Asian music industry in general. If some of you are wondering what the hell I'm talking about, go and take this summer to submerse yourself into the addictive world of Asian modern pop music--the boybands and girlbands and variety shows and all, because trust me, it's like a fandom of its own. All of the celebs are like manga characters incarnate, and they're all ridiculously funny and far more entertaining that American celebs. They're much more real, too.

Anyway, it's 9:30 at night and I haven't showered yet, so I'll stop my personal bias rant and go do that. ^_^/e_o

Update (8/17/2010): So, about a month ago, it was officially my two year anniversary being a member here on FF.net. And hopefully, I'll be around as long as you guys'll have me. ^^ With that, I don't have many things to say, just that I think I've gotten back my pacing with Impulse and Compelled again, and I can take my time with Unveiled since it's still very new. However, now that I've settled things, I'm turning my attention back to Watch This Space--not all of my focus, but a generous amount of it, because even though I say this time and time again, I really have a special place for this story, and I'm hoping that it'll have a good impression on the not-so-good Naruto fanfic reservoir these days. I cringe just thinking about delving into the search box because of all the cringe-worthy writing in there these days. Not to say that I don't read some good ones (StarkBlack, for instance, never ceases to amaze me), just that I'm writing in that universe for the first time in a long while, so I hope you guys who read Secrets (that story still has tons of views every day and it's two years old) will give Watch This Space some newbie love and critique me on my ability to develop the characters (you'll understand what I mean if you read it).

Until the next time I update (who knows when T_T), happy fanfic hunting ^^

Update (9/12/2010): I think it may be about a month or two since I last updated a chapter of anything, so I'm just here to say that I'm not dead, but rather, I'm settling into the new school year--making new friends (since I could count the number of friends made during freshmen year with my fingers T_T), throwing darts at my teachers and all that good stuff. I seriously will update before Christmas at the very, very, ridiculously latest, but don't expect the abundance (if you could call it that) of updates that I managed to miraculously make during the summer.

Update (11/14/2010): Well into the school year now, and things are starting to get busy, so I'm sure you've all noticed the, like, montly (if I'm lucky -_-) updates and NOW, for some reason, I'm not getting my email updates when someone reviews so I guess I'll have to just start checking the page and reply through PMs if this keeps up, which would just be dandy. Until then, I'm going to try to find whatever help service I'm supposed to go to on FF.net, since AOL is working fine for everything else so it's either completely FF.net's problem, or it's a problem FF.net has with AOL, but I highly doubt that it's just AOL's problem.

Anyway, so Seishiro/Subaru's story and Compelled are going to be wrapped up soon, and Unveiled is starting to gain some plot (finally). There's really not much else I have to say since it's almost four in the morning and I tend to get rambly when I'm tired and mad at technology (for making it difficult to reply and read my already difficultly enough earned reviews). e_o/-_-

Forgive me, but if you are a yaoi fangirl you must read it: http://daioh--sakura.deviantart.com/art/HOW-TO-WRITE-YAOI-109193542
