To my readers/reviwers/watchers:

I'm currently working on the sequel to EnoK, Eien no Kessoku: Gouka. I started sometime in winter/spring, 2009. I can't believe it's been three years! Amazing. Sorry about the sparse updates. I fully intend on finishing EnoK, I just gotta get it out there! Right now college is kind of my priority...

I'm a huge otaku. Actually... it's more like... I'm a closet otaku. I've read/watched over 500 different manga/anime series. This is not a drill. And yet... I don't really talk to anyone about it. I sort of keep my obsession to myself. I own over 150 manga books plus a few anime series and various movies. I literally have a wall dedicated to manga.

_EnoK is Finished!

A word of thanks goes out to all of my readers and my close friend Sara for being the Iruka to my Kakashi. This has been the biggest project I have ever completed. Over 130 pages, unspaced, in Word. That's massive for me. Anyway, thank you for your patience if you've been waiting a while for Gouka. It is now up and running.

Aaaaaand... Here's a little celebration for the story's completion. Happy dance!

("Gouka"--for my sake--means "results of Karma". The whole thing reads in English as "Eternal Bonds: The Results of Karma"...)

_Background (for both stories):

This is sort of a summary for both stories so far.

It's set 5 years after Shippuden. The three years following the start of Shippuden and the reunion of Team 7, Naruto and Sakura continue their search for Sasuke. Then (two years before the fic begins) Naruto is pulled back to be with Jiraiya to evade the Akatsuki and finish what he started there. The Kyuubi is getting restless for unknown reasons and so are the Akatsuki as their search for both the eighth and ninth bijuu comes closer to an end. Sakura is an accomplished medic and became a jounin with Naruto while still together. She joined the ANBU not too long after our favorite Jinchuuriki was taken back by Jiraiya. Sasuke is still traveling with Team Hebi and his goal to kill Uchiha Itachi has remained. (This is all a vague rationalization for pushing time forward 5 years. Mainly, I feel like the characters are too young to be going through some of the emotional tests Kishimoto has created.)

_Unofficial Commentary:

My writing has changed a lot through these two stories. I am well aware of how terrible the beginning of EnoK is in comparison to the new chapters in Gouka. But, come on. I've been working on these stories for... what? 5 years? These stories are a chronicle of my growth as a writer. I know that some might go back and edit the past, but I just can't do it. I never want to forget the errors I've made and I never want to turn away from my embarrassing old writing style... (Gah. I was terrrrrrrrrible.)

I started planning EnoK while still writing Faded Cherry Blossom. I had a few big ideas that I wanted to bring to life. I wrote on paper and I drew my action scenes as rough sketches, to get the imaging right. I would do pages and pages of planning in a spiral notebook. I don't remember when I started typing them up, but I made the switch somewhere along the way. Then I found OneNote. Oh, boy. OneNote is probably the best thing that ever happened to me. It's really cool to write DONE in big letters at the top of each page as I post chapters... Anyway. I've discovered that I'm a big fight scene writer. I think of a chapter as a movie, rather than a flow of words.

Anyway, this story has evolved so much. I feel like it has spun and tangled itself into something to be proud of. I know I have my short fallings in certain places and inconsistencies. But I am proud none the less. I love this story. And I know it causes a little grief that even though I have Sasuke and Sakura as the main characters, they are not the only characters I focus on. I feel that the only way to create believable growth in the main characters, I must build a more fluctuating and complex world for them to exist in. Also, can an intricate story be built on the backs of static characters? No. No, it can't.

... And here is a confession I have been reluctant to post...

This fic will be my last.
