| Ice Spectre |
Author has written 10 stories for StarTrek: The Next Generation, Sakura Wars, Batman, and Nightwing. Ice Spectre is a hack writer of usually original epic fantasy. Strayings into fandom will be made public here. The author is not an author at all, really, but an opera singer. She's a mezzo-soprano (low female voice) who specializes in pants-roles (plays male roles on stage). She's sung many roles with small opera companies in the United States, and made her National Debut in early 2004. The author is a big fan of fantasy and science fiction, as well as some anime. She is originally from New England and desperately misses real winters while stranded in the South and Southwest, where the heat is abominable. She enjoys skiing and several forms of martial arts. Other hobbies include stage combat, improvisational acting, poetry, folk dance, renaissance faires and tabletop RPGs. "Ice Spectre" is a nickname derived from both a character from one such tabletop RPG and her own affinity for the cold. Also for her demeanour in anger, discomfort or unease. For that the author is profoundly sorry, despite never really saying so. | |||||
