What I read: Yaoi. I started reading it in 2007, and have not stopped since. I read Het from 2004-2007, but I stopped when I discovered Yaoi.

I have recently picked it up (het) again, but it is hard to find anything truly decent since most female characters are either annoying, immature, or have breasts the size of godzilla.

And the women are treated like crap most of the time.

As for Yuri, there is a few reasons why I don't like it. Not that there are no well written Yuri, because I have read a few on a friends recommendation, and they were very well written (and the only ones so far I've enjoyed)

But it is more because there are two women, more often than not engaging in a sexual relationship. And as a straight female, it is a bit weird, for me, to read it. In addition, most 18+ content is inaccurate according to my lesbian and bi friends.

Final Fantasy VII:

A Long Hard Road (Found Here): Set five years after the end of the original game, Cloud leads the Shinra army as one of two 'Generals'. What will happen when his former enemy, Sephiroth, is brought back from the dead? With an incredible plot, intense scenes, and attention to detail, this is a must read for any Sephiroth/Cloud fan. Pairings include Sephiroth/Cloud, Zack/Tifa, Rude/Reno/Elena and Yuffentine. This tin contains 37 really long chapters and an epilouge, and is rated 18+

Note: Because this was written several years ago, more recent canon such as Before Crisis, DoC, AC, and Crisis Core are not applied.

Resident Evil:

The Hearts Filthy Lesson (Found Here): Wonderfully written and very in character, it is set from the time William and Wesker first joined Umbrella, and spans over twenty years(with time skips here and there of about a year or two). Including details such as the development of the T-Virus and the G-Virus, the infection of Wesker and the subsequent 'Mansion Incident', the destruction of Raccoon City and the attempted assassination of William, it is mostly accurate to the canon. There a few OC's, but there are no Mary-Sues and they are written very well. The pairings are Wesker/Birkin and Wesker/Alfred 300k words, 18+

Human Behaviour(Found Here): Sequel to The Hearts Filthy Lesson. A lot of sequels are never as good as the original, and unfortunately this is one of those cases. Not that I'm saying that this story was bad, because it wasn't, it was very good. Everyone is still in character and a couple of minor OCs were introduced (still no Mary-Sues in sight) however the plot starts to deviate from canon after 4-5 chapters with William coming back to life and various other things happening. Later into the story, a few things happened that were a bit sudden, such as William snapping Ada Wongs neck, Chris being killed (Although we all expected it eventually, right?) and Wesker getting one of his eyes gouged out (The disturbing imagery warning is there for a reason, after all). But despite these faults, it is an enjoyable read. Pairings are Wesker/Birkin, Wesker/Steve, Birkin/Steve, and Ruby(OFC)xHUNK 300k words, 18+
