I'm a forty something (I'm not going to tell you everything) IT analyst who has always been scribbling story ideas (some based on TV programs, some not) for my own entertainment. Then I discovered Fanfiction and found others who do the same.

I've been attending some short writing classes which I highly recommend for anyone wishing to improve their creative writing. I've certainly learnt that I have a few bad habits that I wasn't even aware of. I appreciate receiving feedback from my readers both positive and negative as this helps me improve my writing and lets me know when something I've tried has worked.

I'm a keen sci-fi fan and love the mythology basis of Stargate & Stargate Atlantis. Atlantis is my favourite and like most women I drool over Joe Flanigan as Col Sheppard. In my mind Weir never left, Carson did not die and the show did not end. And now I've discovered a new hero to drool over in the form of Lt Commander Steve McGarrett in Hawaii Five-0.

Okay what else is there to say, I'm a keen amateur photographer. If you wish to purchase a copy then you'll be glad to know that I now have an on online gallery where anyone can purchase a copy of my photographic work. All images are subject to copyright.

I love bush-walking and animals, especially the big cats. My husband and I manage to combine these loves into our holidays when we get the chance which isn't as often as I would like but hey that's life. I still want to see Antartica, Galapagos Islands, Alaska and I also would love to go back to Africa.

Now for my stories. I'm up to my elbows in writing Promises Made, the sequel to Out of Time. Progress has been slower due to real life commitments and meddlesome plot bunnies that have taken the sequel in a direction that differs from my original intentions. Hopefully their interference results in a better plot line and not just a bunch of pesky rabbit holes. Wouldn't want someone to break an ankle. There are another couple of story ideas on the boil. So it is a race to see which is likely to be ready for posting first. Somewhere in amongst this I hope to complete the draft of my original story that I'm hoping a publisher will want to print - although I know it can be hard for first-timers to break into the market. Even Matthew Reilly had to start by self-publishing. He's an Australian author who writes very fast paced action novels mostly around a character with a call sign of Scarecrow. If you haven't read his work then you don't know what you're missing.
