Author has written 1 story for Minecraft. I started reading FF.Net back in '99, was highly interested in writing back then and thought it would be great to see how other people where doing it. I lost my interest in writing in 2000, I found so many good stories all I cared to do was read. As FF.Net grew in popularity, the quality of the work was becoming...yeah. So many lovestruck 11 year old fangirls, overabundance of SUPER! or ANGST! or any other number of pathetic nonsense, and many of the old crew never returning left me with few things to read and much time to think I could do better while TRYING to make a crap story than most on here could do at their best. In 2005, I started this account. My first story, Ancient Betrayal, was a Harry Potter FF based on the idea that the Flamels were Dark Lords, Dumbledore their lackey and Riddle the young gun trying to become the next Dark Lord. It was supposed to become a moral dilemma for Harry to endure. There would be no option of remaining "good" or "light" but rather on whose side of "evil" he would chose. The story was removed from Fanfiction originally for remaining too much of a preview instead of a prologue, or so I assumed. The dialogue sucked, the intro was too generic, I had several problems with it. I've had hundreds of ideas about several different universes, I've written a few of them out, but most can't pass the basic standard I have for dialogue. I expect to read the words and imagine them as something someone really would say to another. It always has a problem with either sounding like I am explaining backstory, merely for the pretense of the reader knowing something that shouldn't have to be explained to the person in the story, or just sound like a poor scripting effort on my part. I can tell you what needs to be told, but can't actually write down the telling of it. Drives me mad. In the end I sometimes wish I could find a person who was talented enough to take my outlines and turn it into something worthy of the idea I think it is worthy of. The problem is being selective in who I would like to write my ideas. If they are good enough to turn it into an Epic Win, then they obviously don't need my "help" in ideas, nor would they likely desire to have another place restrictions on their creative process. If they don't have the talent to make my ideas shine...that is an obvious no no. Blah! I do have a short parody half written called "The Many Faces of Naruto". Its the basic idea I've read in many a story that pokes fun at alot of the mainstream ideas people use to remake Naruto for a story. A few of them are some basic plot devises, a few romantic involvements and a few crossovers. Parody being the key, I can slaughter it and can call it intentional! I figure the first chapter is almost complete, I have the plans for the next 3 chapters complete, just have to write them, and a total of sixteen chapters already thought out. Maybe I'll even keep it up here. Who knows. Thats the new update, the old update, and the original profile combined into one short and sweet little message...how cute Update: May 22, 2012 A couple of months ago my computer power supply went and killed itself. This after a long line of issues that have kept me from finishing Seed:Farm. I'm trying to type up the last couple thousand words that would put me back to where I was before my computer went and died. Sure, I could drop the hundred or so for a new power supply and not have to do such things...anyone care to send me the money? Seed: Farm - Hopefully another 10k words to be added to the story. Faces of Naruto - Will need to be rewritten. Faces of Harry Potter - Needs to be Written. I still have many ideas floating around my head. Just need to start writting. | |||||||
