BIRTHDAY IN SIX DAYS, WEWT. I DEMAND SEYMOURxRIKKU. Kidding, kidding.
Yosh! I'm La Editor, usually called La or Ed over on the GA. (I'm also called Amanda, for obvious reasons.) I'm a terribly young and inexperienced writer, just sort of going along with whatever pops into my head. I'll advocate narcissism and pretend that whoever is reading this is viewing my page not to read my stories, but to read this paragraph right here, which states: I enjoy tricking the workers at the ticket booth and getting a child's discount at the movie theaters, writing, reading, singing, voice acting, playing the piano, and drawing. I also enjoy eating gummy worms, particularly of the sour persuasion. Gummy worms are the bane of all existence and heaven's gift to man.
I'm extremely lucky in that I have two fantastic betas: T. Costa, who is the grammar-Nazi, and Pen Against Sword, who is the writing-Nazi. They are both awesome and wonderful and go look at their stuff, because I assure you that it is much, much better than mine.
I started off on fanfiction fairly young, and entered as a Yu Yu Hakusho fan. I drifted between that and Teen Titans, eventually going to Naruto and then discovering Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. I've more or less settled myself into Final Fantasy VII, though I promise I will eventually get around the the Naruto stories I have yet to finish.
Regarding fandoms: I'll steal a phrase from Pen and say that I, too, use Yuffie as my bicycle character. I love the dynamics she puts on any relationship - more than anything I like pairing her up with Vincent Valentine. I don't like any pairings other than Yuffentine for Vincent, which is odd, except for Aeris; the reason for this is that Aeris is, without a doubt, my favorite character from the series as a whole. I can't write her very well at all, though, I always make it out as if she's a saintly martyr. Which she really hasn't ever been. Otherwise, for Yuffie, I think my crack for her is a tie between Sephiroth and Cloud; I love the strange angle she adds to both, and I think I enjoy pairing the hyper young girl with the villain too much. (As seen by the Seymour x Rikku I wrote. I wish to affirm that I am not mentally unstable.) Not a big fan of yaoi or yuri in that I prefer het pairings, but if it's well written I'd take it over a badly written Yuffentine any day.
Works In Progress
-One Week (Harry Potter - multi-chap)
SBHG. Sirius and Hermione are convinced they must have offended someone up there when they are forced to relive the same week over... and over... and over... and over... and over... and (you get the idea, don't you?) I've been trying to cycle around my fanfictions; this won't be posted maybe until 2009 at the earliest.
-Redemption (KH/FF7 - multi-chap)
...And this is what happens when Vincent survives the Heartless, too, at the cost of something precious to himself and Yuffie, forcing them to journey together to find what shouldn't be gone in the first place. Or, more simply put, how Yuffie does something that isn't expected of her. She and Vinnie pay the price. Of paopu fruit, materia, and missing pieces of broken hearts. (Yuffentine) I'm thinking of getting this done for NaNoWriMo next year, that way I don't dilly-dally through it. Been meaning to rewrite this one. Someone PMed me and asked if it was posted anywhere - terribly sorry, I think I accidentally deleted the PM! - but it is on the Yuffentine livejournal community a few pages back. Again, apologies!
-Camarilla (FFX - multi-chap)
Sin isn't Spira's only problem; it's just the only one most people know about. Cold wars and underground dealing are the trickier kinds of trouble, Rikku has come to find. (possible mild Aurikku; in-game; 08-09.)
-Oceans Fall Into Skies (FF7 - multi-chap)
When Vincent's demons start getting the better of him, Yuffie takes it upon herself to investigate and find out what's wrong. Unfortunately, things are never as they seem, and it isn't long before they both realize they're in way over their heads. Yuffentine. (Trying to figure out a better summary, apologies for the lame one. This is pretty much what I've been writing, though I've put it on hold stubbornly when my computer ate several pages of it. I'm nursing the wound that will leave an indelible scar. Oh, computer, how you have broken my trust. It will never be the same between us.)
-Chasing the Butterfly (FFX)
Aurikku. Rikku contemplates; a oneshot based around the fact that maybe, all the dying want in the end is comfort.
-Glory Box (FFX)
Aurikku, one-shot. She may be alone, but she's not lonely. That's what she tells herself, and maybe if she pretends enough it will be true.
-Sea (FFX)
A series of short stories focusing around Auron and Rikku; companion piece for Sky.
Sites
I really, really recommend going here. This is a Final Fantasy VII writing community with some great people and great discussions going on; team Ta-La-Pen (KIDDING, I KID I KID. Hey, I think it's funny. However, I refuse to wear hot pants.) are part of it! Some really amazing writers are on here, and plus we have an AWESOME spam board. So there. - http://genesisawards.proboards100.com
-I have a pretty pathetic deviantart account, but I promise I'll post a few more things eventually. - www.sansukumi.deviantart.com
-My LJ, which I participate in a bunch of different FF/Naruto communities in to contribute to certain ships and grow as a writer. And stuff. http://sansukumile.livejournal.com/ (Get it? It's a mixture of my deviant name and fanfiction penname! I am so cool, which means I am such a dork.)
-When I hear this, my head combusts if I don't dance along. http://lostcontemplations.com/Auax/Caramel/Caramel.html
-Tasha (aka T.Costa) has a pretty awesome blog that covers... just about everything. Tons of stuff on there, check it out! http://tasha.sin-shadows.com/
