I suck. I'm sorry. What was only supposed to be a couple weeks, seems to have turned into months. The computer is up and running; Word is working fine now... I have no excuses for my lack of update, except that I've completely lost it. I was SO DAMN CLOSE! I was all ready and raring to finish up the chapter after years of OtB writer's block, and that hiatus with no computer f-cked it all up. My muse has fled. Spiteful, fickle thing. :sigh: I'm going on vacation soon, and will be meeting with Siriusfan13, so hopefully she can help me hunt my RK muse down. I think maybe it's partly that I'm in mild shock from turning 30. I'm getting oooold... :P

I would like to apologize for the delay in Only the Beginning's update... We had some nasty storms in my area a couple weeks ago, and my computer (along with several other household electronics) was fried by a lightning strike. I've only just got my computer back from the shop the other day, and I'm slowly trying to get caught up and all my programs reinstalled. Fortunately all my data was spared, so I didn't lose any of my story files. Once I get Word (or a similar program, since I'm having problems getting it to work because I lost the code...) back up and running, I will try to finish chapter 14 as soon as I'm able. Thank you for your patience!

Posted Siriusfan13's fake April Fools day chapter for Only the Beginning XD AND YES, the REAL chapter will be coming up shortly. I'm predicting sometime in the next few days, so please be patient. I am so sorry it's taken so long for an update, and i'm sure you've all given up on the story. Sadly, this will be the last chapter. I've decided that this is a good place to end it. If I ever get back into it, I will continue the story in a sequel. Thank you all for your continued support over the years! You all are wonderful... (cries)

Well, I'm venturing into uncharted waters for me... a One Piece fanfic. I'm not sure how or why, but I've really become fond of this crazy series. Forgive me. I will hopefully get back to my other stories at some point, but until then, please put up with my madness...

Here's a bit of a status report for my unfinished stories...

"Babysitting Blues" - newest story, three chapters up. It's a round-robin with SiriusFan 13, sueb262, and warg. We'll be writing alternating chapters, but they'll all be posted here on my account.

"What Child is This?" - third chapter about 1/3 completed, and has been so for the last several months. I will finish someday, I swear!

"Only the Beginning" - chapter 14 has been almost complete for the last 2 years, but I got horribly stuck on it for some reason, and haven't worked on it much since. I'm so sorry that it's been unfinished for so long. I haven't given up on it, and I will attempt to finish it up eventually. I'm trying to figure out whether to split the story into a separate fic for the next part, or leave it all in one long fic...

"Operation: Cheer Up Battousai!" - now, this is sort of a side-story to "Only the Beginning" that I started a couple years ago, and haven't posted. I don't intend to post until it's completely finished. First chapter is done, and second is about half-way. Shouldn't be more than 4 or 5 chapters, but you never know :P
