"A World Apart" Prologue/Authoresses' Notes

Schiz's Notes: Ahem. ::looks very serious:: Oh, wait, this is a narrator bit. ::Schiz fades out, and her voice takes on a quality of omnipotence::

In an parallel universe where all the myths and legends of this world are true, huge wars wreaked havoc among the many peoples of Earth. Some beings, like the Elves, retreated to some other plane to escape the persecution they faced. Others finally made an attempt at peace, deciding to redirect their impulses toward violent combat into a tournament of war games.

This tournament is called the Gladitorial Games.

The Emperor of Drakityd wishes to defeat the ancient rivals of his country with a team of Gladiators made up of...to put it frankly, rejects. Why he would have such a strange requirement for his Gladiators is unknown. Far be it from the authoresses to attempt understanding the inner workings of an in-bred member of royalty.

::Schiz reappears and immediately falls down:: Damn, my balance is fucked today. Anything you want to say before I start the actual first chapter, Katie-chan?
