Author has written 5 stories for Angel, and Blood Ties.

Real name: Roz Turner

Birthdate: 17/10/1987

Location: Manchester, UK

Favourite movies: Goodfellas, Casino, Pulp Fiction, Serenity, Kill Bill, The Others, Interview With the Vampire, The Hours, American Psycho

Favourite TV shows: True Blood, LEGEND OF THE [EPIC] SEEKER (seriously, I have so much geek love for that show), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Vampire High, The Simpsons, Family Guy South Park, Little Britain, The Catherine Tate Show, Blood Ties, Lost Girl, Once Upon a Time

Favourite bands/artists: Muse, Marilyn Manson, Goldfrapp, Portishead, Garbage, The Cardigans, Philip Glass, KT Tunstall, Radiohead, Darling Violetta, Carrie Underwood, La Roux, deadmau5

Favourite books: 'A Room of One's Own' by Virginia Woolf, 'The House of the Spirits' by Isabel Allende, 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' by J.K Rowling, 'The Handmaid's Tale' by Margaret Atwood, 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley, 'Bareback' by Kit Whitfield.

Favourite fandoms: Legend of the Seeker, Blood Ties and Lost Girl...but I'll read pretty much anything with a plot, to be honest!

Favourite type of fanfic (to read): I like general fic to be honest - generally anything with an interesting plot that's well written will hook me in right away (see the excellent Angel fic Her Fault by Selena for a sublime example of this), though I'm not averse to the occasional bit of crack fic or femslash when the mood takes me. The one thing I'm not big on particularly is excessive fluff, smut or PWP - I prefer to leave some things to the imagination.

Pet hates: Poor spelling and grammar makes me want to kill people; this is considered by some to be an unreasonable response, which I can't help but disagree with. Also, bad fanfiction gives me nightmares, especially where there is a deadly combination of awful spelling, terrible grammar and general out of character-ness in a totally unintended way. Not that I'm pedantic, or anything.

Writing influences: I feel greatly influenced/inspired by the writing of Margaret Atwood, Virginia Woolf and, in particular Anne Rice and Kit Whitfield. Whilst Anne Rice is not one of my favourite authors (although she did used to be when I was a teenager...), I feel heavily influenced by her descriptive writing style rather than her general narrative as such. I also take a lot of my descriptive writing cues from Kit Whitfield who uses a more modern, first-person perspective in 'Bareback'; I always use third person narrative, but Ms Whitfield certainly does have an amazingly astute way of describing the characters' environment, which is something I really admire.

Current Projects

Funnily enough, I'm not working on any fanfiction at the moment; I've actually got a regular gig as TV writer for gay girl website http://www.whensallymetsally.com which is at least seven kinds of awesome! Check out Fangirl Friday for my musings on the weeks TV :). Also, I has a new blog of random nonsense and a shiny, GIF-laden Tumblr account:

I'm also an occasional tweeter (@rozzlemcfrozzle) so feel free to follow and I'll follow you back. As far as fanfic goes, it's on the backburner for now but not forever - I enjoy writing it too much! In essence, it's temporarily gone but not forgotten, but if I can just finish this project first then maybe I'll finally have the mind to finish everything I've ever started ;)

Works on long-term hiatus:

Fandom: Blood Ties

Endgame - the sequel to Winner Takes All. I've only just started properly writing this and I'm already having a ball; I'm totally loving being back in the characters' heads, even though I've not completely decided where we're going plot-wise. However, in a glass half full kinda way, this makes me even more excited to work on it, just so I can find out where we'll get to in the end!

On long-long-term hiatus ;):

Fandom: Blood Ties

Future Imperfect - this was originally going to be part of the Blood Ties Season 2 collaborative project some time ago; unfortunately, said project was eventually disbanded which is why I've decided to write this as a standalone story. Chapters 1 and 2 are up currently; chapter 3 is definitely 'pending', as it were, but my mind is straying in too many directions for me to focus on this at the moment. This will not be a permanent hiatus - I have already handwritten some stuff for chapter 3, but I'm not in the right place to write this at the moment, as it were. So, in short, updates will be here, but not any time in the immediate future.

Kudos for the idea goes to all members of the BT virtual season as this wasn't mine - I believe coming up with the idea itself was a collaborative effort (not including myself, funnily enough!) as I couldn't find exactly the person on our forum that suggested the idea, therefore I'll say thanks now to MarieWynn, Magess, WiliQueen and everyone else who contributed to the season and helped me out with this particular story as far as it got before we all disbanded. You can check out their info (and amazing fanfics) at each of their ff.net profiles:

Planned upcoming projects: I have recently had an idea for yet another Blood Ties fanfic, so after Endgame is done and dusted, expect another on the way - Endgame will be the last of that particular story arc, so the next fic will take us on an entirely different journey. Oh, and since I've just got sucked into Lost Girl I'm sure I'll have some interesting fic ideas for this one - a potential crossover for Lost Girl/Blood Ties has been running around my mind like a hyperactive child for a while so I should probably pay attention to it at some point. If this crossover fic does come to fruition then there will be hints of femslash - likely to be a Vicki/Bo pairing just for kicks. And stuff ;)

Once again - big, enormous thanks and hugs to all those who have left reviews on any of my fics/favourited me or the fics/signed up for alerts. You guys have all the love I previously had reserved for kittens, puppies and Christmas combined, so enjoy it! ;)
