Uzumaki-sensei flipped through the textbook lazily and something slipped out. We’d both noticed it at the same time and glanced at each other briefly.
I eyed the envelope. “Looks like a love letter.” I told him, watching him as he sighed silently and slipped the letter into his pocket. “Aren’t you going to open it?” I asked frowning at him.
He didn’t look at me. “I’m this girl’s sensei. I can’t open such a thing.” He flipped a page in the textbook.
I smirked. “Wow, you’re pretty heartless.”
He shook his head disagreeing. “Opening a love letter from a student is strictly forbidden. I’d lose my job if I was caught.”
My mind sparked to life. “Oh yeah? And what happens if you get caught in an intimate position with a student?”
He chuckled, “That’ll never happen, I promise. That’s paedophiliac behaviour and I would face court charges.” He began to read the text in the book. I stared down at him like a fly caught in my net.
