Good day to you. I am Mistress Minako. I delve mostly into psychological horror.

My influencs are many, as are my friends. I enjoy Edogawa Ranpo, author of "Japanese Tales of Mystery and Imagination" - which is a tranlated collection of his work; also Lillian Jackson Brawn, who continues "The Cat Who..." mystery novel series. I have a degree in psychology and interests in East-Asian language, culture and art. I enjoy meeting new people, so feel free to look me up on eljay under the same pen name (although I rarely post in my blog these days), or e-mail me. Don't be shy just because I don't write much/appear to have abandoned the internet. I assure you I'm very much alive and that I anticipate and enjoy any discussion you may wish to have with me. Right now, I am writing for the Yuugiou fandome in its various incarnations. However, my romance is very subdued, so don't expect a light and fluffy story unless it is specifically marked as such.

Bete Noire - n. A thing or quality that is particularly disliked or that is to be avoided (lit. "black beast").

Deus ex Machina - n. Any artificial or improbable device resolving the difficulties of a plot (lit. "Machine of the God").

Evince - tr. v. To show or demonstrate clearly; manifest.

Memento Vivere - Latin phrase meaning "a reminder of life" or "remember that you have to live."

Paregoric - adj. Assuaging pain; soothing.
