Author has written 5 stories for Maple Story, and Tales of the Abyss. NamiLoveLess's Profile Page has gained a hit. (+1) Name: Obviously, you may refer to me as NamiLoveLess, due to my username—the deep meaning of which is nonexistent and the attempt to find such a meaning will only give you a headache. You may also call me Nami, or Namina if you wish (and I suppose you could see typo-ed mispellings of my name which appear as Name--yes, yes, very amusing). I'm also known as Namina (or less commonly Soriena) in Bera of MapleStory GMS, so if you ever decide to play MS (shameless advertisement, you guys should play) you can say hi to me and say you're from fanfiction. You can even come to argue with me, if you want, although I'd prefer not to argue in a chibi-style world of pixels. Age: Yes, I do. What I Enjoy: Well-thought out stories. Well-used sarcasm. People who actually give further opinion to their arguments instead of just mindlessly flinging insults. People with the slightest bit of decency. Simple things in life, like eating watermelon and sitting on the floor while staring out an open window. Drawing. Writing. Music. Those who understand that normalcy is relative. Many other things. What I Wish To Chuck Out a Window: Song lyrics on profiles. Writing characters terribly out-of-character. People with no respect for a spellchecker. Hypocrites. Excessive leetspeak. Overrated fandoms. Art thieves. Many other things. Currently Listening to: No Logic covered by the Nico Nico Chorus Cheap Summary of my Identity: I'm fairly certain most OC authors will have a reasonably large amount of dislike and hate for me (as you will see in the section below). I take simple things and complicate them ridiculously (like profile section titles). I do not swear unless quoting or if provoked beyond reason. I try to find good qualities in people whenever I can, but if I decide not to like you, it won't even matter if you happen to be the one that saves the world. I'll still despise you, just like you'll probably despise me~! :D I change my profile like mad as a result of a short attention span, and I also enjoy arguments if I'm having a good day, so you can PM me stuff if you disagree with my opinions and you'll be guaranteed to ruin that good day, which is what you want, I'm sure. I also enjoy playing music, not by ear, but by sightreading (Lol, I can read a Score. -bricked-). People who can play by ear have my respect. (I'm not talking about Twinkle Twinkle Little Star here, guys.) I always make my best effort to complete stories, whether it takes one week or one year, because I don't appreciate reading stories that end up on hiatus, and I don't want other people to have to deal with it too--not that many people would have to deal with it anyway for my stories. Guilty of thirteen of fourteen of the cardinal vices and virtues. In short, I'm a ridiculously complex person who might also possibly be the most cliché person in the entire world if you think about it properly. I might also be a nasty, hypocrital brat with too much sarcasm. Depends on who you ask. On OCs: As if this topic could be avoided on this site. Yes, as not-so-implied above, I do rather dislike OCs in fanfiction (and yet, I'm partially guilty -headdesk- Or at least, I was, in a sense). It's not that I don't like new characters at all, because I really like seeing new characters; I simply prefer to see them in original fiction. In my opinion, the phrase "fan fiction" means writing stories about already established characters, characters I already know something about, and I don't care to learn about new ones. Another problem, probably, would be the fact that almost everyone who meets this OC usually likes them (or is infatuated with them), which is very unrealistic considering the diversity of the characters in established canon casts, and the few people who do not like this character are labeled as the rather painfully obvious (and annoying) antagonists. It might just be because of the authors' writing styles which makes it written that way, but that is just how I feel. Sorry. The exception, however, would be one of three things: one, a rather minor character (such as a temporary supporting character or villian) created for, say, an imaginary story arc, where the OC isn't really focused upon as much as the canon characters (the way it would normally be in a filler arc). Two, some unimportant character in an otherwise completely canon story (like a shopkeeper who only says "Thank you, come again". Come on, those characters are everywhere.). The third exception would be in fandoms such as MapleStory or Ragnarok Online, because the actual concept of the fandom is to create your own characters, so there really aren't many established characters to create stories about, and by creating original characters, you're actually writing in the style of said fandom. And that's that. (Well, there's also parodies, but those are another category altogether.) I have yet to find an OC that satisfies my unrealistically high standards for a well-written OC in fanfiction. Feel free to discuss. (And don't go flaming me for OMG YOU HATE OCS WHY CAN'T YOU GIVE A GOOD REASON or any of that other generalized stereotypical garbage. Read the paragraph bricks before you throw them.) If any of you like (non)original magic stuff, I have an account of FictionPress: http://www.fictionpress.com/~namina But right now, I only have one, non-magic story. (Which is on a very long hold.) However, another story is in the works right now. I also have a DeviantArt account (the link is my homepage) so you can go there and laugh at my small collection of deviations and scraps. Ha. ~Cliché Add-ons~ There is 98 percent of people from FanFiction that post those stupid "98 percent of FanFiction are blah blah blah. If you are the 2 percent that aren't paste this into your signature" things. If you are the 2 percent that d—Oh shit. (Note: This was originally in a DeviantArt signature. DeviantArt was replaced with FanFiction to make it somewhat relevant.) If you hate being told to copy and paste stuff into your profile, copy and paste this into your profile. ~Favorites Which Has Been Drastically Shortened~ I currently like MapleStory, Tales of the Abyss, and Fullmetal Alchemist, along with most of the characters in all of them. ~Recommended Stories (because I feel like being a sheep)~ Revolt of the Archers by Kal Ancalas. It's just simply an amazing work. Even if you don't know what MapleStory is, it's still possible to read and comprehend this, and the description, dialogue, writing flow...it's all just amazing. The way he writes his characters...there would be no possible way for them to exist, but they feel so real, so complex, and it simply creates a wonderful aspect of the fanfiction. If I could recommend a fanfiction for official publishing this would be it. Doesn't hurt that the author is hilarious—his sarcasm is so funny. I am a Revoltee and proud of it! Virtually anything in my Favorites page. (So much for being a sheep.) ~Quotes Which I Do Not Own~ The more we try to be different, the more we end up being the same. ~Unknown I'm old enough to regret most of what I've done, but young enough to hope for the better in the future. ~Raneia You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family! Oh wait. ~Raneia "The phoenix's my favorite, though." "Why, because it's on fire?" Zak says, before he can stop himself. "No," Aster says sternly, "it's because it's a symbol of hope and remembrance. You know, how the phoenix never truly dies, because it's always reborn from its own ashes. Well, I think memories are like that- they might wither and fade, but they're never really gone." "Well, if I lit your brain on fire, I guess you wouldn't be able to remember much of anything afterwards, would you?" Zak says, almost conversationally. "No! It's an expression! I mean...oh, forget it." ~Phoenix's Song by Kal Ancalas PeanutButta1: You know what SJB said? xXxSJBMANxXx: Hey, I found the Snowman boss. xXxSJBMANxXx: Y'know, I need new mittens. The ones I have are really noticeable. ~Upcoming Stories Which I Own~ - Part III of the Perspective one-shots. Probably won't appear for a while, due to my obscenely overbearing workload. (Thank you for the amazing support all you readers give, by the way!) - A MapleStory one-shot centered around an actual player and the game. Rather dark. ~This is the end of my profile.~ | |||||||||||
