Author has written 38 stories for StarTrek: The Original Series, Slayers, Gundam Wing/AC, Saiyuki, and Harry Potter.

What you may find:

My more recent works tend to fall into the snark and dark purple boojum categories. Sometimes both at once. Shorter things tend to be darker and more stylistic, and since I can't keep that up for long (go cry, emo mazo--or you could bounce off somewhere for soft serve, okay... go cry, emo brewer? Oh, you're busy grading papers and mocking the mutt while saving the world from mild-mannered werewolves, I see), the longer ones are snappier.

In Progress (and begging for betas and conductors of light)
The Slytherin House Rules (may need a better title): Salazar, Phineas Nigellus, and Horace discourse on this and that and lay down the law for their wayward students. Meanwhile Severus (for a given value of meanwhile) runs around with his hair on fire. Gen. May actually see daylight and sooner rather than later

Sunbathing on Lethe (definitely needs a better title): Sirius slowly realizes how much of his memory was frozen in Azkaban, while Remus nobly refuses to tell him anything and Severus swoops around mysteriously doing Molly’s dishes, maliciously embroidering socks, and blowing his h/c NEWT with surly panache. Slash pairing. Could use a sounding board.

The Wrong Potion (tribute title so it may stick despite enormous lameness): Less than two weeks after Regulus' mysterious death, Remus finds that he won't be allowed to guinea pig for the Wolfsbane project. Unfortunately, the one guy who could change that decision has just been arrested for the Diagon Alley massacre. This clearly will not do. Mystery; may or may not have an important pairing.

Nothing Gold: In the streets of Old Sairaag, the golden and ancient dragons are both sure they know best, the mazoku are protected by a thick veil of disbelief, and the Red Priest suspects he's not much blinder than anyone else where it matters. Zelas has a covetous eye trained on a young Knight of L-sama, Milgazia's elders are worried he might be going native, and Xellos wishes his life had a slightly more unequal balance of politics with ice cream and turning rude people into fish. Also for Rezo to be less of a manwhore. Slash and het pairings. Stuck in the middle; needs a sounding board like whoa.

Holiday: um... possibly inexplicable, but well-received in its time. Slayers fusion fic with the Grant/Hepburn movie. Has been abandoned for years but now I have the movie on DVD so there is hope. Slash pairing. At this point mostly held up because the oversized HP bunnies ate my brain after the first new chapter, but it no longer counts as abandoned!

Shorter and older bits I may well put up when work on the serious stuff goes slowly or the planned chapter wants quality control. Some of these may even be Saiyuki. My goal is to post something once or twice every week, but please be aware that it's a goal and not a vow.

Oh Won't You Love Me (insert string of overexcited punctuation)

As a long-time terrible horrible no-good very bad neurotic person I have every sympathy for my readers who don't review even if they've enjoyed something. Totally get that. OTOH, when someone does take a moment to let me know, one way or another, it's very glowful and inspiring and appreciated and motivating, no matter how long it's been since the piece was posted. Thoughtful-in-depth replies enjoyed but not demanded. In fact, I'd gladly take a smiley-face or a TU for thumbs-up!

I think Archive of Our Own has a better system than FFnet or the journal sites for lurkers like me, where you can just press the kudos button at the bottom and make the author squee without having to put words to that 'that was good' feeling or even signing in. You can find me there under the name of [saunders!] potionpen, if that or having all the chapters on one page appeals. It's a slightly different collection right now, although I'm working to have the two accounts catch up with each other, and unlike ffnet it supports my fanart habit. Did you know that One Night Stands has a doujinshi version from Hakkai's POV? It it's not up at AO3 yet, it will be soon. ;)
