Wow seems like I haven't been awake in the fanfiction world for ages. Reason = College. Yep I'm almost finished with my BA, and then I'm studying for the GRE for grad school! Yay! Thanks to all my lovely professors who are trying to tear my little brain into my studies and away from being the thrall of Fanfiction. Fandoms I'm currently enthralled: Harry Potter Star Trek Star Wars Never freakin Twilight: Don't you even mention, or try and get me to read that crap. Instant Loves for Harry Potter Fanfiction: Severus Snape: And they get him right. Death Eaters POV: (Especially Professor Snape) Yea yea, but they're "evil". Well think of it this way. What did He offer? He offered a home, a place, he promised change. He was charasmatic and powerful. Then things starting to get out of hand, we know this because of RAB. He was a prime example of getting in too deep. As was Severus once he realized that the Dark Lord wasn't going to give him L.P. that he had a complete disregard for even his followers deep needs. Fear only takes all followers to a point. Slytherin House: As a writer, and myself I've actally been sorted as a Gryfindor with some Slytherin tendencies. So no I'm not trying to be biased. I think Slytherin house takes in the most abused and the most neglected students in Hogwarts, it's easy to be a Gryfinndor when your childhood is easy. But what about Harry Potter you say? Was he not told he would find his "You could be great, you know, and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, no doubt about that." And having Severus Snape as the Head of House is because he was abused himself, and is the embodiment of his house. He is not evil, he is not good. He is human, that makes choices and mistakes. I would argue the most human out of J.K.R's books. Pairings I will not witness: Slash Pairings: Don't get me wrong I love Slash pairings such as in Star Trek with Spock/McCoy. But that's so far the only one I find believable. HP: Snape/Harry Snape/Dumbledore Snape/The Dark Lord Other Pairings: Snape/Someone really I'm ok with alot of pairings with Professor Snape as long as it's well written! | |||||
