Author has written 17 stories for Outsiders. Congratulations to all the winners of The Wrong Side of the Track Awards! Congrats also to everyone who was nominated, and while I’m at it, good for you if you stepped up and posted a story here. It’s a tough thing to put your work up for all to see, especially on the internet where you don’t know your reviewers and they aren’t always nice. If you’re looking for some help with your writing, or just want to discuss Outsiders fanfiction in general, check out this forum: Wrong Side of the Tracks Outsiders Fanfic Forum Lots of great info and opinions, and it’s a very friendly board. Also, I have started a thread there to serve as a resource for writers about all kinds of little details - grammar, tense, word choice, etc.: Things covered so far include: - Quotation Marks So if you've been getting reviews that tell you to work on your grammar, punctuation, etc., come on over and check it out. If you can't find what you are looking for, let me know what you've had problems with, and I will add it to the thread. OR, if there is something you feel should be included in the thread, come on over and add it! Because in the end, nobody wants to make errors in their stories. It just happens because we don't always have all the information (me included, heh heh, but I'm working on learning as much of it as I can). Another forum where you can get lots of help and suggestions with your fanfic writing: I also recently created a website for Jay R. Ferguson, who played Ponyboy in The Outsiders TV series that aired on Fox network for one season in 1990: Stop on by and check it out! Jay's been working steadily since he was in The Outsiders, but if even you're just interested in his portrayal of Ponyboy, you can find lots of pics (and a few video clips) there. Me and reviews: I don’t review everything I read, but if you have a story or chapter that you want input on, send me a private message. About my fics: You might notice that some of my older stories seem different from the newer ones. I've learned quite a bit about writing over the past few years, and I think that it shows in my fics - the older ones have certain aspects to them that would never be in a newer one, and I am sure that anything I post now will be full of flaws that I won't realize are there until sometime in the future. In addition, I used to post stories as I finished chapters. With my style of writing, though, this doesn't always work so well (tangents, plot bunnies, issues with flow and focus, etc.). Because of this, I now finish longer stories before posting them. So, if you have read one of my older stories, keep in mind that it doesn't necessarily reflect my writing of today. However, I'm leaving them all up in case anyone wants an example of the gradual progress of a writer. | |||||||||
