I love finding the good in all people,
discovering the peace in all things,
and uncovering the stories in all places.

21 years old. Canadian. University student and major academic nerd. Witty and intellectual. Cutting and sarcastic. Insightful and intuitive. Mildly insane and temporarily unstable. Occasionally obtuse and a little dim.

Generally unable to provide for anything as needy as a cactus.

But I will love you even with your chicken pox scars, and brain bandaids, and mental meltdowns.

And I won't even ask you to love me back.

UPDATE: The next (5th) chapter of Through A Glass, Darkly is posted! Work on the next chapter is underway.

A Stallion Must First Be Broken is a Kirk/Spock WIP; the next vignette is about halfway finished, and unfortunately, currently delayed due to writer's block and general lifeness. The other one, Intoxicated, is a completed one-shot, also Kirk/Spock.

I am also looking for a good archive (other than this one) for my completed AU Zelda one-shot, FULL FRONTAL NUDITY (it is rated M/R). If you know of any, please drop me a line via PM or email!

My stories are generally experimental in nature, but I take my writing very seriously and I strive to both entertain my readers and provoke thought. I appreciate any and all feedback, from a few short comments to in-depth constructive criticism. I have a thick skin, and I am infinitely grateful to the people who are honest and even harsh if necessary in their estimation of my writing. It is these sorts of reviews that truly help writers to grow. I am also open to flames - really, whatever reaction my story provokes from you, I am interesting in hearing about.

I mainly write for Legend of Zelda and Star Trek. The two Phantom of the Opera stories on here are my "old shame" fan fictions, written many years ago when I was much younger. Read them at your own risk, haha! My more recent fan fictions, on the other hand, are much more mature and refined in both in style and content.

A considerable amount of fan art has been graciously created by various fans of my older Phantom story, Empty Spaces. A list of those works is available here.

As mentioned above, I've written in Star Trek (2009), Zelda, and Phantom of the Opera. But I read and enjoy many other fandoms, including, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek Voyager, Star Trek: TOS, Shakespeare, Watchmen, Brokeback Mountain, Harry Potter, and Star Wars.

I'm not generally a pairings oriented reader or writer of fan fiction. I will read almost any pairing as long as it is well-executed by the author (though I generally draw the line at incest/underage). I am open to both het and slash pairings. BUT, the notion that fan fiction HAS to have a pairing or that an author HAS to have a ship really and truly GRINDS MY GEARS. Fan fiction is so much more than pairings, and I have read many an excellent fan fiction that adhered to no specific ship or pairing. I do, however, have a few pairings that do tickle my fancy moreso than others. These include Kirk/Spock, Erik/Nadir, Erik/Christine, Link/Zelda. I enjoy this pairings but I do not 'ship' them; you might say that I'm even somewhat of an 'anti-shipper' if you catch my drift.

I will beta-read for the following fandoms: Zelda (Ocarina, TP, Link to the Past); Phantom of the Opera (Leroux, Kay, and ALW); Star Trek (2009, TNG, TOS); Star Wars (IV-VI preferred, but will beta I-III as well); RENT (musical or movie adaptation); Watchmen (comic and movie-verse); Harry Potter (book-verse only). I have previous experience beta-ing for Zelda and Phantom of the Opera.

Please see my Beta-Reader Profile for more details.

I try to leave reviews for most of the stories I read. I will tell you what actually think, but I promise, I will ALWAYS be constructive. I DO NOT flame, but I am not afraid to be harsh. I will, however, always highlight your story's strengths along with its weaknesses. If you have any comments or questions about a review that I have left you, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Below are some links to various websites that I have found useful for both writing and reading fan fiction, as well as some sites that I simply enjoy.

Memory Alpha -- A Star Trek Wiki for everything from TOS to Voyager to the 2009 movie.

Zeldapedia -- A great Legend of Zelda wiki.

Phantom of the Opera Wiki -- A small but slowly growing PotO wiki.

Wookiepedia -- A Star Wars Wiki.

Kirk/Spock Archive -- A very excellent and well-run fan fiction archive for the Kirk/Spock pairing.

HappySlip -- Christine Gamito's main youtube channel. Her skits and songs never fail to brighten my day!
