August 25th, 2011:

So, where to begin? I know it has been several months since I updated, and all I can really do is apologize. I got a new job that I've finally settled down in, so all is well on that front. As far as the writing goes - I've been trying, but I usually get distracted. With what? Games, since I have so little free time now. Reading other fics too. Sometimes I'm surprised how long I can just sit and read. I'm amazed how some authors on this site can manage to sit and write chapter after chapter consistently, especially for multiple stories. I can't tell you how bad I feel that I haven't been able to close out a single one of my stories so far. (My silly one shot doesn't count.) Then when I re-read my own stuff and groan because I find mistakes or find stuff I should have done differently. It gets annoying.

Anyway, yes I have been writing. Not much, admittedly, but I have been. I have four fics that are 50-75% the way into chapters, but between distractions and writers block, or the chapters not coming out the way I want them to they've been stuck that way. So when I get stuck, I usually shift gears and start working on something else. I think one of my problems was that some of my chapters were getting to be a little too long; the chapters had enough length to be standalone one-shot fics on their own. As a result, after the next series of updates some of my chapters might be a little shorter than everyone is used to, but hopefully that means I won't have the jarring brain-farts I've been suffering from on the writing front. It's nothing like losing inspiration, far from it - it's more like backing yourself into a writing corner with a pencil and noticing that your eraser is all dried out.

I've not been completely idle on the writing front, by any means. The next chapter of Fire Shadow of Fairy Tail is nearly done (I know I've been telling other people on the H&E forums that for a while now) and I'm just trying to hammer out how much I want to integrate Naruto into canon. I've also been taking potshots at updating Experiments in Empathy, as well as working on something else new (I know, I know...) called Rewritten. Don't want to spoil anything about it now other than it being another Naruto fic. I've also sworn that I won't post a single bit of it until the story is actually complete, and I don't plan on it being very lengthy. So far 10 chapters have been written, so we'll see.

In other news, I've thought about making a blog to keep interested people updated, but do people really even follow blogs? I know I never have, even authors I'm interested in reading works of. Honestly, with my track record, I can't say that I'd be completely on the ball about updating it either. We'll see.

- Corpse Parade: My very first drabble. Looking back at it now since I first started... it's a piece of crap. I guess it shows how far I've come? Feel free to read it if you feel like smirking.

- Living the Dream: I'm seriously considering refreshing and re-typing this piece. It's just under consideration, nothing more as of yet.

- Whirlpool Country: 50% done next chapter. I don't know when I'll get around to finishing it. Apologies.

- Hindsight:Foresight: Update on this fic revolves around WPC updates. No ETA.

- Experiments in Empathy: Next chapter 75%. Trying to ground out a scene that really isn't working, but I don't want to scrap it.

- Fire Shadow of Fairy Tail: Update imminent, I hope.

- Rewritten: TBA

Discussion thread for my fanfiction, located at Heaven and Earth, a NaruSaku fan site. Don't get discouraged because of the pairing focus at the location, everyone there is very friendly and open to all pairings, it's just their preferred one is NaruSaku. Many even multi-ship and crack-ship.

Summary: Billy vs SNAKEMAN is an online browser-based game that lets you play the role of a ninja. That means you can run missions, do quests, do hits against people in the bingo book, fight giant monsters (kaiju), raid and invade other villages, and eventually even start your own village. There is also a lot, lot, lot more that would take too long to type, not to mention you'd likely get bored reading it. It is a parody of Naruto and a horde of other manga/anime, including but not limited to Bleach, Code Geass, Lucky Star, etc, etc. Even if you're slightly curious, check the link, I doubt you'll regret it especially if you're looking for something simple to do that's fun. If you use me as a referral (my character name is Jasticus) and randomly join a village, it will put you in the village that I run, Pandora. There's others who have joined up that read my fics, so you'll be in good company if you decide to check it out.

(August 25th) So our village has plenty of space, we're in Tier 3 now, and have almost all the village upgrades. Not to shabby!

Myself: Because I feel obligated to post a little something... 28 year old male from Washington DC. I'm a sucker for any fic that has good action/adventure/comedy combination in any way, and I even enjoy romance aspects so long as they aren't completely angst-filled or take up the entire fic with mushy crap. Though if it's written well and doesn't feel rushed, I'll read it - even if it is all 'mushy crap'.

I follow the 'big 3' in the manga world, as well as a handful of others like Beelzebub, Medaka Box, Reborn, Rosario+Vampire, and a few others. On a strange note, lately I've gotten hooked on Harry Potter fics, specifically ones with a Harry Potter/Daphne Greengrass pairing. I bet most of you have no idea who Daphne Greengrass is. I had no idea either.
