Author has written 53 stories for Man From UNCLE, StarTrek: The Original Series, and Star Trek: 2009. This has been an absolutely awful spring and summer. I fell a@@ over teakettle off a horse who stopped dead going over a jump on June 2 (my birthday) and I'm still not quite healed up yet. The wildlife around my home has attacked in force - hawks, snakes, foxes jumping a seven foot fence, etc, and I've lost several pets. And every week something new, major applicances, plumbing, electrical, seems to break in my house -- usually on a Friday. And the grass keeps growing, meaning mowing, mowing, mowing. I never seem to catch up. I've not forgotten that I have a few stories to finish, and I'll get back to them, but I was derailed a bit after seeing the new Star Trek 2009 movie. I really liked the new Spock. And since I always liked the idea of Spock and Uhura even in TOS, their relationship in the new movie spurred me to start a new Spock/Uhura story series, which has derailed me a bit from my Holo series. I do plan to finish them all, time permitting. Right now I am working on a story involving the three year old Spock being presented to Council for the first time, and the decisions Sarek and Amanda make regarding that. It will be three or four chapters, and will be out soon, maybe late this weekend. After that I hope to return to Guess Who is Coming to Dinner and then The Razz, and then to get back to Home is the Sailor. As for the later volumes of To Begin Anew, I wrote those novels years and years ago. The one where Spock goes back to Sarek is more or less done but was corrupted on an old hard drive. It needs parts of it rewritten, and I just have to get back to that too. I used to have a Holo series timeline up here, but as the number of stories increased it got too big for the space, so I took it down. Since then I've gotten some requests to have it back, so here is a nutshell version. Most of the Holo series stories are marked with their rough place in this timeline. The first four novels of Holography are on my website, not on fanfiction.net Holo series 0 -- all the stories prior to Spock leaving for Starfleet Holography 1: The Catalyst -- Spock leaves for Starfleet and things go terribly wrong between Sarek and Amanda. Novella Holography 2: The Wedding Present or a Starling's Lament -- Sarek falls gravely ill, Amanda has about as unpalatable a set of choices as Kirk did in Amok Time. These Vulcans... Novel. Rated for Mature themes. Holography 3: As a Reminder and a Promise -- While Sarek and Amanda strive to recover and T'Pau finally accepts Sarek's wife as legitimate, one of his assistants falls prey to a jealous Vulcan passion. Another good reason why Vulcans believe loss of control can be pretty fatal. Novel. Holography 4 Home is Where the Heart is -- a Post Amok Time Novella Holo series 5: after Journey to Babel, as Sarek and Spock come to reconcile with each other. so far just a bunch of stories, though several novels are written/drafted in this timeframe. Holo 1-4 are on my website found in my bio page. All the other stories are available on fanfiction net, though some are also on my webpage. I'm trying to find time to put my ffnet stories up on my website, and my website stories up on ffnet, for those who complain they should all be in one place. But when I have a little free time, I'm more likely to work on/put up new stuff, rather than duplicate posting old. The Holo series stories on fanfiction.net are generally marked with "holo series #" telling you about where they are in the timeline. Holo is a series that embraces all the contradictory canon about Vulcans we were shown in TOS. They are highly developed, but retain some archaic customs. They're not without a sense of humor. They are obsessively loyal and can be quite caring. And if they lose the strict control they strive for, they can do so with a vengeance, past human expectations. In this vein, series stories are marked with what type of story they are -- genre guides like Drama, Humor, Romance, Adventure, etc. If you are attracted to the high drama in Holo 2, you may be severely disappointed with light fluff like Library Pass. Conversely, if your first encounter in the series was with something like the humorous "A Fish out of Water" or the romantic "Mermaid", you may find yourself blown away or even disturbed by A Starling's Lament, which I'm told is pretty powerful reading. To me, life is a continuum, and the story of a family with a seventeen year rift in it had to have highs and lows. You know what kind of reader you are and what stories you like, so use the genre guides if you have strong preferences or a weak heart. If you haven't so far, consider "feeding the authors". Every author on fanfiction net and elsewhere will appreciate it. I'll never understand how someone can read an 80K word novel that someone has put up for them, presumably enjoyed it if they're read through all 20 chapters, but never review. Ditto for those that sign up for future chapter updates of an ongoing story. It's like going to someone's house for dinner, scarfing down everything in sight and then leaving without saying a word (except those requesting chapter alerts are saying "let me know when you put out more food"). Hmmm. To encourage an author to put up more, some words re the previous stuff would be nice. For everyone who has been kind enough to review, thanks! You've brightened my day and encouraged me.
