These questions tend to be in the neighborhood of "Can you edit my fanfic? I heard from _ you were the best!" I don't know if I would go that far, but I've had my hand in the craft for a long time. Because of this, I've found a great many resources. One of the best has to be Wikipedia's Fanfic Definition. It has extensive explanations of craft jargon, legal matters, and a terrific time line.
