Author has written 52 stories for Digimon, Card Captor Sakura, X-Men: Evolution, Yu-Gi-Oh, Inuyasha, Trigun, Tsubasa Chronicle, Final Fantasy VII, Bleach, Star Ocean, and Kingdom Hearts. I'm Pikachumaniac (PM for short), and I've been here for a very long time. I'm a recent UC Berkeley graduate, specializing in environmental policy and law, and I am currently a 1-L at the law school. My primary interest is environmental law, but my inner-gamer also shows some interest towards intellectual property. Meanwhile, I write to pass the time. My writing has changed over the years, but I seem to retain a fondness for the 'odd' couplings and a particular subset of characters. Current poison of choice is Kingdom Hearts, with favorite characters to scar being Zexion. My favorite coupling for the series is easily Lexaeus x Zexion, which shows up in various incarnations in almost all my fics for the fandom. Writing is my way of getting to know the character deeper than what is shown in the canon. I try to keep people as in-character as possible, even those I dislike, and I obsess over details, timelines, and characterization. These days, rather than make epic storylines, I like to focus on the more everyday details of daily life, which I personally find more interesting. Randomness: April 21, 2009 1) Morbid as it may sound, these days profile updates are like the desperate last gasps of someone who is drowning. The end is coming, but I can't help but flail in denial anyway. 2) I still write, just not very much these days. Instead, my idea of writing is opening a document and staring at it blankly for an hour before losing interest and playing video games instead. So more often than not, I bypass the step of opening the document and go straight for the games. I am still more than happy to blame my lack of writing on law school though, which probably does play a factor in all of this. I just don't know how much of one. 3) Well, even if it was not the main factor, it will be soon. One more week of class, half a week of review, the other half of the week for studying, and then a week of finals. As grades matter more with the rather deplorable state of the economy, studying is to be prioritized over writing. 4) When I do write, my main focus has been on the sequel to "Butterfly Kisses". It has about one and a half chapters done. Other than that, I drabble on various fics, none of which are getting particularly far. So beyond the sequel, I promise nothing. Although I will say now that I really like the one completed chapter... it's the second chapter that is driving me up the wall. It doesn't help that the more I work on it, the more certain I am that I'm going to need to rethink through everything because the plot is starting to shift away from what I originally envisioned. Not to mention the story is threatening to be pretty long (currently estimated at eleven chapters, and only threatening to get longer), which is not helping my sanity. | |||||||||||
