Author has written 2 stories for Charles Dickens, and Little Mermaid.

I am a teenage, Christian homeschooler who loves to write novels and poetry. I love the Lord, my family, and good literature, in that order. Enough said about my background.

I'm sort of one of those reluctant fanfiction writers. I once told myself that I would never do something like this, but I guess I just sort of fell into it. If I write something so horrible that it should be wiped off the face of the earth, please tell me. Otherwise I'll just sit in my corner and work some more on my 'honest' writing.

So why did I start writing fanfiction? Well, I read A Tale of Two Cities and fell absolutely in love with it, but I thought there were a few chapters in the story that Dickens left out. So I'm here to bring them into the world. I don't pretend to be nearly as good as Dickens, but if it's not to disrespectful I'd like to try my hand at portraying his characters. Sydney Carton is my absolute favorite! I would so marry him if I could, and I am trying to find a way to create an original character similar to him without completely lifting his nature. A drunk with a solid streak of integrity that shows through at the very end - I love it! Thank you Dickens!

I also believe firmly that the ending was completely perfect! None of that rewriting-the-ending stuff! The ending was my favorite part of the book!

About The Absence: This is my first fanfiction work, so don't be too hard on me! This is one of those 'missing chapters' from the book that I thought needed to be told. Dickens never reveals exactly why Sydney Carton was in France to begin with, and this oneshot fills in the details.

And about The Voice of the Sea: There are some creative moments that come upon you without explanation, and demand only that you make use of them. This story is the product of one of those moments. I watched The Little Mermaid 2, and I almost completely hated it. However, there was this one moment in the movie which I felt could be explained further, that intrigued me. It demanded that I write fanfiction for it, and I obliged. It doesn't matter if you loved the movie or hated it: just read it for what it is.

Anyhow, enjoy! I love constructive criticism because it helps me grow as a writer in all areas, so if you have any for me I will welcome it! I will attempt to return reviews, as long as your stories don't contain any foul language!

Stories I would like to write fanfiction for someday in the future:

~Narnia

~The Last Unicorn

~Inkheart

~The Ranger's Apprentice

And of course, I would love to write more stories for A Tale of Two Cities.

(Note: just because I wrote a story for the Little Mermaid does not mean that I am a fan of it!)

"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known." ~Sydney Carton, A Tale of Two Cities
