Hey! I'm pupdawg66! I hope you enjoy my work and are able to take the time to learn a little more about myself. Thanks for visiting my profile!

UPDATES - October 8th, 2011:

Nothing proves how quickly time goes by, or how much you grow, than going to college. I'm currently in the first quarter of my sophomore year, so it's not as scary or exciting as last year was. I've been VERY busy. My job is frustrating (but at least I have one), my classes are either too easy, too boring, or too time-consuming, and I find myself doing a lot less socializing this year (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). I'm tentatively majoring in English with an undecided focus (literature or creative writing), and I don't yet know which minors to declare. I'm getting there, though. This is the year of decisions and self-evaluation. I wish money didn't have to factor into everything, but it does. (How I wish I could study abroad in New Zealand.)

I know I want to try to pursue something with writing. I know it. With that knowledge, I would like to use my Empire fanfic as a basis for pushing my creative juices to new levels. I've clearly taken my sweet time to work with it, though I've never completely abandoned it. I'm currently going through the first three chapters with a fine comb to edit them, mature the language, and change any ideas that I've decided to take into new directions. I sincerely hope that I find my groove and actually get the story going somewhere. I feel especially inspired due to the fact that Inheritance will be released in a month. I didn't realize how excited I am for this book until I thought about how close it is, and what the book could finally give me answers to. Once I complete my revisions (again) and re-post them, I will focus on chapter four. It's over halfway done. I simply need to add some dialogue, give it a firm ending, and do some tweaking. I wish that were as easy as it sounds. Ah, the writer's plight.
If you have ANY ideas or suggestions for this fic, I'm open to them. I will be going back through every review and message I've received and take your opinions into account. I still don't entirely know what I plan on doing in the long run with this fic. I started it on a whim, hoping I would be able to hit the ground running. We'll see.

Reviews are awesome. No, really. The feeling I get when someone reviews my work is beyond words. I particularly appreciate the folks willing to take their time and explain what they liked and didn't like about it, or give me suggestions and ideas. It's taking a review one step farther, and it's great.

I fully acknowledge the fact that I've made people wait for a long time to update. While I hope my next post won't be in a year, I can't make any promises as to when the next chapter will be completed. I have a life, and a busy one at that with being at college. I enjoy writing and entertaining my readers, but all authors know that we have to prioritize.

I appreciate all the feedback I've received and am using your comments and suggestions to improve my writing. I can't believe all the kind reviews and messages I've received. It's astounding to me, and I thank you all for the support! Empire continues to get hits every week, and I think that's amazing!

Whether you love to write, you love to read, or you love to do both, I encourage you to continue to explore your passion and always keep a pen, paper, and a book nearby. You never know what might come of it one day.

as always,
~pupdawg66~
