Name: Jenn Likes: Movies (horror, campy scifi, war, western, foreign... anything but gross-out comedy), books (from Austen and Orwell to Palahniuk and King—I love reading), and some television... Currently addicted to Lie To Me, Castle, Leverage, Burn Notice, Dexter, and (off and on) Heroes (I watch it for the Sylar story line)I was raised on Star Trek and I've been an Iron Man fan for almost as long as I watched the 60s Batman reruns and knew how to read. I like playing lacrosse and baseball and love watching football and hockey. I also like target shooting—gun and bow. I'm better with the gun. Dislikes: Driving in stop-and-go traffic, being clumsy enough to not remember how I got half the bruises I get (and somehow ending up with a nail sticking out of my index finger during a tensegrity exercise in Design Basics 3D—not to mention how I got docked on almost every project in that class for bleeding on something... I like sharp things but they don't like me), people who chew gum with their mouths open, slugs, public restrooms, the flavor of raw spinach, and asparagus in all forms. Weird Stuff About Me: I can wiggle the tendons out of socket on both middle fingers and ring fingers, I can hear that weird high-pitched range, I can use my feet like hands, I've been drawing since I was two and reading since I was three or four, I can quote the entirety of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and worked in a movie store (that is now completely out of business) that used to play DVDs during the business hours—so I've seen "Pirates of the Caribbean and the Curse of the Black Pearl" at least 150 times considering I worked during the holiday season when that first came out on DVD (I can recite the dialogue when I hear the soundtrack to it), and I can speak Greek. And American Sign Language. And Spanish. And a little bit of French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Klingon... I like knowing a bit of everything. My first computer was an Apple IIGS but I started writing on an Underwood typewriter that I still own. I can also program a remote and still know how to set the clock on a VCR. Or DVD player. Whatever. My avatar was created by me—that's my personal logo Right now I'm still lamenting the fact that I uploaded so many fics at one time that I had not yet finished. Unfortunately, due to a loss of interest in these, I've abandoned them altogether. I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone, but I cannot promise you all something when I don't have any interest in finishing them. This does not mean I have given up completely on writing fanfiction! Now that I've graduated and I've got repetitive projects out of the way forever, I'm going to spend a lot of time writing—not just fic, but an original novel I've been trying to write since I started college. | |||||||||||
