Must you always succumb to idle curiosity? What were you hoping to find? Am I to have anticipated all you desired to learn of me?

(sigh)

Oh, very well. I suppose I should reward you with some little scraps of personal lore for making it this far in your quest for knowledge.

What would tell you who I am? That I am 32 years old, married, a mother, a goth? That I love metal, fantasy, science-fiction, witchcraft? That I have a dog, a cat, and fish as pets? That throughout my house there are about 50 skulls, 5 decorative blades, and enough incense burners for every room? That I own a copy of the Necronomicon, collect the works of Anton LaVey, and have an encyclopedia of the occult and parapsychology that I often refer to? That I have seen things, done things, and experienced things that none can explain? All true, but what would satisfy?

Considering the venue, you probably want only of me what is related to fanfiction. You want simply to form an opinion based upon my interests. What am I a fan of? What turns me on as a reader of fanfiction? What are my obsessions? What fictional characters do I dream of at night, or even throughout the day?

As you wish. I list them below. Perhaps you'll find you and I have one or more in common.

The Ones I Love (GA = Geek Admission)

Dungeons & Dragons_I am utterly obsessed with Venger. He fascinates and excites me. He haunts my dreams. His voice sends sensual chills through my body. I would follow him into Hell. I'm also a fan of the Venger/Sheila pairing. If the new cartoon that I've heard Wizards and Warner are contemplating doesn't have Venger, I doubt I'll bother watching it. That is, if the cartoon will get the greenlight to go into production in the first place.
GA: I have a little Lego Venger that Sealgirl gave me. He stays on top of my computer desk, and I sometimes look to him for inspiration.

Legacy of Kain_I am passionately enthralled by Kain. To me, he is the epitome of the anti-hero.
GA: I own a replica Soul Reaver. Still contemplating where I want it mounted. I also have two posable Kain figures and one Raziel. One Kain stands on a shelf above the computer desk.

Beauty and the Beast_Vincent. . . . What else does one need to say?
GA: I own the the CD of Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope with the poetry readings by Ron Perlman.

Devil May Cry_I've been a fan since the beginning, but Vergil's inclusion renewed my passion. And, dare I say it again? Vergil is another I would follow into Hell, if only to try to save him from himself.
GA: I own posable Dante and blue marionette figures; they also reside on the shelf above the desk. I also have the DMC DVD, "The Sacred Heart".

Labyrinth_For a full year (probably longer) after I saw this movie, I thought of Jareth daily. He was always with me, and not too far from me now.
GA: I have the tall Jareth figure, which I've amazingly allowed to remain in its package.

Knight Rider_KARR arouses me, revs my engine, redefines internal combustion. I'd let him drive me anywhere, just to hear him growl and purr.
GA: I have a HotWheels KITT and a RoughRiders KITT (originally husband's). Both out of their packages. My son has rather claimed ownership of them, but he takes care of them.

Gargoyles_Goliath is another passionate obsession. I want to drink his gargoyle blood. I want him to claw me, bite me, whip me with that tail! I love his voice, his hair, his muscle! I crave him. Ok, so, yeah. That was a bit extreme, even for me.
GA: I own the Gargoyles board game.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine_Easily summed up in one word: Cardassia. I love everything Cardassian. Dukat, Garak, Damar are my top favorites, naturally.
GA: I have a half-way completed Galor Class warship model. Half-way because my husband is helping me customize it. I also have a Cardassian soldier figure that came with a phaser and workstation.

Sherlock Holmes_Jeremy Brett owned the role. And Charles Gray is the only Mycroft for me!
GA: I have a collection of 8 x 10 Jeremy Brett photos - black & whites, in-character poses, scene stills, and others (off-the-set) that I cherish and keep safe in a trunk.

Harry Potter_Specifically, Severus Snape. Basically, if Severus isn't the main character in a fic, I won't care to read it. No geek admissions for this one, but I did want to buy a Slytherin house ring at one point.

Hellboy_I love Red! I love the romance between him and Liz. And Prince Nuada Silverlance of The Golden Army was an instant attraction.
