Um, One Step Closer is finished. That actually happened a month ago. I only just now realized that it would constitute as 'news'. More information; see below, the next titbit of news.

What I really wanted to tell you all, is about how I've been dispairing at Hotmail for eating my reviews. As I had uploaded the final chapter of OSC, I was expecting at least some reaction from my readers. When none came, I was a bit put down. Then, I started to look through my notes on 'Smile' and writing onward a bit when I had to check something about the last chapter of OSC. I happened to glance at the review count which read '80' at the time. Least to say, I was puzzled, since the last time I had checked it was at 53 or something. I started to read and respond to the feedback I had received from the final chapter but hadn't been notified of. But since I didn't remember how much of them I had already read, I realized that the best way to find out was to check from my mail-folder the last one I'd read, and then read from there. I even thought to myself that I had about 15 review alerts which I hadn't even opened yet, so it would be nice to read all that feedback. (Reviews always make me happy).

Here's the kicker: I had 34 unread messages in my One Step Closer reviews folder. My only thought was: "Since when?"

Okay. So Hotmail actually hadn't been eating my messages. Someone had simply gone and improved its IQ and now it was moving the reviews to their designated folders without their presence ever gracing my inbox. But why couldn't have they told me that sooner?!

ARGH!

About OSC 7, the last chapter: (Yes, that will be the end. For that fic, at least. There will be a sequel going by the name 'Smile', so when the time arrives, I trust you all to read that one too!) Sorry, I hit a slump just when I thought that I'm on the roll, so I didn't update even my Beyblade story on the promised day. I'm hoping against hope that I'll get both done by 27th, because that is a special day for me and would be nice to get loads of reviews then. I'm turning 23, you see. Wo-hoo! \o/

...suddenly I got this deep suspicion: I'm turning 23, right? (I always forget how old I am.) And it's on 27th, right? (How can a person forget their birthday?!)

Joining in the KaRe wave.

There was a group of KaixRei (from Beyblade) fans who thought that there was too few stories about them. Good, long, nice stories. So, we cooked up a little plan, which got a name after the YuBo wave, and started posting. But unlike the YuBo wave, KaRe wave tries to bring multi-chaptered stories to the fans, so it's a competition of deadlines, more than posting many stories on one day.

I'm Going to Get You (IGGY): FINISHED

So IGGY is finally finished and was easier to write, in the end, than I had suspected. The problem was just the re-formatting I did for the whole story. Really took some time. So, if you have read the piece but don't quite remember what happened, I recommend you to read it again. Some things have changed, but they are quite insignificant, so just for them, don't bother.

Little something about my stories

Songs From The Heart (Soft Heart): My oldest story, the first I ever wrote. I recommend this to no one, but since it's my first, I'll let it idle here...

I'm Going to Get You (IGGY): The gigantic monster of almost 37,000 words, chapters being about 6000 words each. Never doing that again! (But I always break my promises...) The most popular of my stories. For now. Beyblade is gaining momentum.

One Step Closer (OSC): I always misspell it as Spet. Damn dyslexia. This too will soon be finished! How wonderful it that?! I've been dragging this on for too long... I'm just anxious to get to the sequel! It shall be a splended piece of fiction! (fingers crossed)

Draco meets Potter for the first time ENG(DmPfft): I listened to the books (read my Steven Fry whose voice I adore (swoon)) and I realised why they all hate Draco. He's such a little bstrd in it! So, I wanted to write something that would defend his behaviour, because I also adore Draco Malfoy. (With Harry, ofc...) This is also in Finnish. I have no idea why I wrote it in Finnish as well...

Waiting for your Merry Christmas: Little Myy was thinking of making a Christmas oneshot. Then I heard that song 'Ten O'clock Postman' and I got an idea. But why doesn't people like this 1s? I think it's pretty good... Fluffy... (pout) And it even continues in three sequels with Sapphire for your Eyes, The Mess with cleaning and New Beginnings!

And last, but not least, Ore no CONPANION ni nare (MC): Now, you might ask, why MC, but this story was supposed to be named as My Companion at first. Then I got the idea of writing all the titles in Japanese and translating them in the chapters.
The idea for this was formed and brewed over two years ago around a pot of coffee. Dear friend, MiDemoni, gave me some great ideas for this, so I owe much thanks to her. But the original idea was a year long story, compared to the three months it'll be now, so I have no idea how many chapters I'll get sqeezed in to that timeline. I think it's safe to say that this will be over twenty chapters long, with the way I'm writing. My first multi, multi, chaptered story. Nice.

BIO

Let's just say that I'm born in April and the little '85 at the tail of my name is my birth year, and leave it at that? I don't even want to think how old I am already.

I got sick and tired of my jobs at the end of summer 2011, so when I found a chance to study, I took it and ran. So, not only am I a poor student at the moment, I'm also doing a bit too much school-work for it to be healthy. My classmate bugs me every other day to take it easy. I tell her I can’t; I have too much fun studying (and getting gray hairs for it. I think I'm an overachiever, which doesn’t really coincide with my lazy bum, though). I quit translating a while back but my interest in everything Japanese has never diminished. I'm even thinking about my eventual employment in Japan so far that I've started to learn Chinese and Korean, just so that I will be well versed in living as an authentic well-educated Japanese person when I finally get there.

I write when I have the time, place and inspiration, which is sadly not that often anymore. And when I do write, it tends to be fics that no one is of yet aware of. Good thing about studying is that my English teacher has taken an interest in my stories and wants to read them through. His interest was greatly piqued by the beginning of Smile, which gave me warm tingles and an urge to write more.

So fear not, I shan't abandon my stories. But it is taking a helluva time getting them done...

I have a Live Journal account at LJ, but I don't really use it. I never got into it and I'm not the type to keep a blog, so it kind of justis there. Doing nothing. If people would be interested in my life I might write more, but let's face it; who would be?
