So...I'm a twenty-something non-fiction writer by trade (I'm a news writer), but I'm actually a big nerd at heart. I love cartoons, anime, and manga-- my current favorites are Avatar: The Last Airbender, Death Note, Bleach, Lovely Complex, and Fruits Basket.
This page is really just a collection of stories that were born of my overactive imagination. As you'll see, I really like writing alternate universe stories for Avatar: The Last Airbender (I swear I'll write something for another fandom someday!). I just find it really hard to write with canon in mind and like the increased creativity writing those kinds of stories allow. Anyway, I hope you like what you see!

I uploaded the second chapter of "Dragons & Lotuses," my Sokka-centric modern AU inspired by several Quentin Tarantino flicks. As you'll see, Sokka is an undercover cop in L.A. who is infiltrating the White Lotus Society yakuza. In this chapter, the White Lotus Society takes Sokka to the Flying Boar, a Bei Fong-owned restaurant in Chinatown.

I'm amazed at the amount of hits and reviews for my first fanfic. Thanks to everyone that took the time to read "College Daze." For the time being, I've decided to not write a full-blown sequel (I will finish "The First Date" at some point, though). There are several reasons for this, including lack of time (I work full-time and attend grad school) and inclination (I don't think I could do a sequel justice at this point). My apologies for not being able to write a sequel, but I just don't think this is the right time. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind!

A oneshot that happens in the "College Daze" world, albeit while Katara dates Jet during her freshman year of college (and before she meets Zuko). See below notes for details.
"College Daze" Notes
- Since someone asked, just thought I'd clarify. In my AU, Toph is not blind--she still has overprotective parents that don't think she's capable of doing anything. Hence, the multiple instances of her sneaking out and being an overly rebellious teenager.
- Someone asked about wanting to know more about Katara's and Jet's relationship prior to "College Daze," so I decided to upload a one-shot, titled "Skateboarding is Not a Crime." It's based on something I saw on the news awhile ago, but has sat on my computer for some time. Basically, it's about what happens to Jet when he doesn't listen to a police officer at BSSU and how Katara helps out her boyfriend...
- Both Mr. Zei and Ghashiun are characters from the show-- they appeared in "The Library" and "The Desert," respectively.
