Author has written 26 stories for So Weird, Higher Ground, Passions, Days of Our Lives, Caitlin's Way, Gilmore Girls, and One Tree Hill. IMPORTANT!!!! I'm searching for an X-Men fan fic. If you know which one I'm looking for PLEASE point me in the right direction! Rogue, Gambit, Logan and I think Kurt end up working Nick Fury (I think it's him!) and their base is on another planet or something in space. Umm... I think they do it because the institute has money problems. I think. It's a ROMY. Who am I? I'm a 25 year old Marine wife. I have two amazing little boys, one is a preschooler and the other a toddler. As my oldest son has autism I am a HUGE supporter of autism awareness groups. I love to read and write, though writing has been on the back burner for about four years now. I also work out for fun- yes, I'm one of those people!- and especially enjoy running 5ks. I'd love to complete a marathon someday, but that's a long ways off, I'm sure! I live in SoCal and love, love, love it. It's seriously the most perfect place I've ever lived- and I've lived in a lot of places! Originally the husband and I are from Chicagoland. Love Chicago, hate the winters. Miss the pizza and Chinese food like no other. We'll never move back but it'll always hold a special place in my heart. And the Cubs, Bears and Bulls will always have my undying support. I jump from fandom to fandom on a pretty frequent basis. Every year or two I find a new obsession -er, hobby. Passions and Days of Our Lives and As the World Turns were my firsts. Then it was Gilmore Girls and the list goes on and on from there. I despise Twilight but read fan fics for it frequently. Yeah, crazy, I know. I hate it when females are made stupid and weak and have no self confidence. Or need a guy. Seriously, even if I could stomach her falling to pieces over Edward, Bella needing Jacob to piece her back together is NOT COOL. It makes me sad because I know so many great women who feel they NEED a man and it just gets them hurt over and over. I'm not a man hater by any means (happily married for 7 years now!!!) but I do believe women need to have self respect and self worth and self confidence. Meyers really dropped the ball on making Bella a woman girls can admire, but hey, it's sold gazillions of books and movies and product, so I'm sure she's not complaining. Don't even get me started on Breaking Dawn though. Eeew. Things that annoy me in fan fiction: Harem fics. Eeew. Just eeew. I hate the idea of women being treated as objects for a man's pleasure and not as people and not as individual's. I'm very much a "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" type of girl. I simply refuse to read these. AN's in the story. This is something I was guilty of when I first started writing, but it annoy's me to no end now. I will stop reading a story if it has author's notes put in the middle of the story. It disrupts the flow and makes me lose interest. On a similar note, I also hate, hate, hate when author's notes are longer than the chapter itself. Holding chapters ransom for reviews. Tacky. 'Nuff said. My top 5 current fics that I'm obsessed with seeing updates for are: Crazy Love (Twilight/Supernatural Xover): Dean and Bella. It's awesome. I love, love, love it. The Story I Never Wanted (Twilight/LOTR Xover): Bella and Legolas. It's freaking hilarious. Bella is seriously badass in it. The Ghost of Circumstances Beyond My Control (Twilight): Bella and Felix. Bella, Felix and several of the Volturi guard attempt to make a life for themselves together while Felix begins to piece together the broken pieces of Bella after Edward leaves. Starting Over (Twilight/Supernatural Xover): Castiel and Bella. Bella is devastated when Edward leaves her in NM. But soon she has a lot more going on in her life than just obsessing over Edward. Past, Present & Future (Harry Potter): Sirius and Ginny. It's still early, but apparently James, Sirius and Remus are traveling to the future to help Ginny with an important mission. The most original and fresh time travel fic I've ever read. Though, Sirius is a LOT older than Ginny and they do have a sexual relationship. If that bugs you I would skip this fic. But it so rocks! Anyway, I love to write. Really, I do. I just have so little time to think these days, let alone actually write something! My hubby deploys frequently, and when he's home I tend to spend most of my time with him and our boys. I do want to write more frequently, but I refuse to post any new fics on here until I'm at least several chapters into it and have a fully fleshed out outline and know EXACTLY where I'm going with the story. Here are a few projects I've been working on: The Weekend Wishes Series: Rogan. But it's NOT a romance. It's angsty. Not horribly so, but it won't be wrapped up in a pretty little bow. If you're someone who needs Rogan to ride off into the sunset before the words "The End" appear, this is not the story for you. The Weekend Wishes Series: Not every fairytale has a happily ever after. Sometime's your prince is just a frog. This is what happens when your beautiful dream is shot to hell and all you're left with is a pumpkin. This is probably a two-shot. One from Rory's POV, one from Logan's POV. Once again, they will NOT be together romantically in this. Only A Lifetime (tentative title): This fic has freaking haunted me for probably five YEARS now. I think I originally outlined it as 7 parts. It will not. stop. haunting. me! And if I can ever get more than 300 words into the first part, I'll actually finish it. It's one of those I know exactly what I want to have happen, but no clue how to get from A to B, even though I can get from B to all the other letters. OAL is where each part is from a different time in Trory's life. And that's all the info you'll be getting about it. It's a fic I feel very passionately about, but I don't want to give anything away yet. And I will most likely complete the whole thing before posting it. Then I'll probably release one chapter a week until it's all posted. I don't want to be unfair and get you all hooked on a new fic that will never be completed. And a freaking amazing Harry Potter fic I'm working on: Needed (very tentative title): Ginny is sick of not being needed and just being the ickly littlest Weasley. She stumbles into a very unexpected situation where she is needed- and may just manage to change the wizarding world as she knows it. I do need a beta! If you're interested I need someone who will be brutally honest. I also want someone who will go over my work very closely and not be worried about offending me.
