Author has written 32 stories for Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek: 2009, Torchwood, and Twilight. UPDATES: 2nd June 2011 - I have realised recently that perhaps it would be best if I left a quick note here for anyone (I don't know if anyone does look here) who is wanting an update on what is happening to my fics to be able to read it and find out. I have never deliberately abandoned a fic. That said, I am aware that a lot of my fics haven't been updated in some time. This was not intentional, hence why I haven't marked any of them as 'on hiatus'. That said, perhaps I should mark them as so, at least until I get the next chapters out. Currently - I am working on the next chapters for my fiction. I was going to work on my sequel to 'Echoes of Dead Men', but decided that it is more important to finish those fics I've already started. So, to all my readers of Always, Orion Black: Time Traveller, Courting Harry Potter, Kirk's Kids, When Dads Come Home and Waking - they are not abandoned. Just think of them as having been on hiatus for a while. I am hoping to update Waking and Kirk's Kids today. The others to follow. (If there is any fic not listed above that you think I should be working on, send me a PM, I may have accidentally left it out of the list). I will say, however, that for the moment, my Star Wars fics are on hiatus. If this changes, I will let you know here (or I will simply update them). I want to focus on finishing the other fics first. As always, I am most appreciative of all the support and feedback I receive from my readers. I will endeavour to hold the plot bunnies at bay until I have finished the above fics. However, I tend to write ficlets all in the same 'universe' so that they can be read as part of the same 'series' as it were. I do also have a few fics which I'm trying to finish. I generally write Star Wars fanfiction, but am hoping to branch out soon... maybe with something in the Harry Potter fandom... Fanart: I also create fanart - sketches, comics and manips (where I take images and manipulate them on the computer). Finally, any ideas and/or suggestions for ficlets and/or comics are much appreciated. -Rose Aislin Things I Learnt by Writing Fanfic: - all those annoying A/Ns that you hate reading? - If you don't write them as a fanfic author, they rattle around in the back of your head until you write them down somewhere (like here) - those requests for reviews that you think are stupid for authors to post? - They're really hard to leave out when you're getting dozens of 'favourite story', 'story alert', etc, each chapter, oh, and a couple of reviews - HP fanfic readers are horrendous at leaving reviews compared to SW readers... not to say that you don't get people who will leave wonderful reviews, but they are few and far between - even when you're 'writing for yourself', you still want reviews - reviews can affect the plot of a fic, make you aware of things you hadn't considered, and inspire a writing spree (I thought I'd post this here because I've been wanting to put it into one of my fics as an A/N, and, knowing how much I hate when other authors do that, thought I'd put it here instead... also, it's unlikely that many people will read it here, but, incase you have read it, no offense was meant by any of this.. I do enjoy knowing people are reading my fics and enjoy them enough to request alerts or fav them or something... but reviews are even better (and yes, I did just do a version of the dreaded request)). | |||||||
