Fanfic Thoughts & Preferences

Yes, my favorite Naruto character is Hinata. How'd you guess? ;) Has anyone found any interesting Hinata Time Travel fics? Favorite Pairing is of course: Naruto & Hinata. I'm not into character bashing, especially of fathers. And my favorite "what if" story is "Team 8" by S'TarKan. Also, a cool Time Travel with Obito I'd recommend to check out is "New Identity in the Past" by Dreamyin.

Also, been on a quest for well written Iruka fanfics. Particularly for Iruka & Kakashi platonic friendship fics. Such as "True Confessions of a Paperwork Ninja" by Goldenkizamu and the "Not Over Til The Paperwork Is In" series by WhyMustIWrite.

I've done a LOT of reading of almost any Iruka Fan fiction and feel pretty confident, excited & happy about this next chapter. Though I must admit I was quite inspired by the Paperwork series, (see above for title & authors). Yes, our poor Chunin will be deluged by some bureaucratic duties; it won't be so overt and hopefully delight you with unique twists and surprises.

Anti Yaoi, Yuri, Shounen Ai, Shoujo Ai & Harems Note: I'm all for free speech, but not interested in reading those genres. Wish FF.net made it easier to exclude these from my searches. If anyone has attempted a Iruka & Kakashi straight friendship search you know what I'm talking about. And no, excluding the M rating doesn't put that much of a dent into the results.

Kokoro Story Status:

3/3/12 - Chapter 10 uploaded! Paperwork, Secrets and a serious pickles mishap all in "A Day at the Office"

As of 1/27/12 - Uploaded Chapter 9 - Iruka's made his appearance in chapter 8 but his true debut is here! Unlike most fan fiction clichés, he's neither super strong nor a dunce. Plus, he's going to be quite an integral part of the story and in the Hokage's plans.

As of 1/13/12 - Uploaded Chapter 8.

As of 1/1/12 - Uploaded Chapter 7 & made minor fixes to typos to chapters 1 & 5.

As of 12/23/11 - Uploaded Chapter 6.

As of 11/3/11 -Chapter 8 has been written and is currently being tweaked and smoothed out. Then it'll be added to the Beta Queue.

Chapter 6 & 7 are still being proofed by my amazing & most wonderful Mom.

She can spell like really good, knows punctuation well and is great at grammar! See, "Blessed are the patient, for they shall read well... better written than I write."

As of 9/11/11: Updated Chapter 1 & 2, changed Naruto's age from 8 yrs. to 6 yrs. And Kokoro's to somewhere between 8-10 yrs. old. Why, cause it'll make more sense as the story progresses.

"Kokoro of Konoha" Synopsis

What if, (before Naruto entered the Ninja Academy), Kakashi brought an orphan with no chakra back to Konoha. How does this girl become even more of an outcast than Naruto? Out of her clan, why is Hinata the only one who's able to see her with her Byakugan? What changes await Iruka, Shisui & Itachi from Hokage's new plans for Kokoro? What will Naruto do if he finds out this girl hates ramen?

OC: She’s fears hospitals and shuns crowds whenever possible. For a civilian orphan, she has an unbelievable bounty on her head by the black markets of the Ninja Nations. Why? Just because the child's special sensing ability is that she can “hear” other people’s hearts or feelings. And yes that’s correct, she doesn't have any chakra.

Luckily, thanks to her ability, she's been able to evade and/or escape capture as well as the cliché excessive abuse or misfortune other unfortunate OCs have been afflicted with.

But, as with all special gifts, there is a price. What are the downsides to her abilities? Why does she refuse to become a Ninja and/or swear allegiance to any government agency or nation?

So, how in the world does the Hokage actually enable her to stay in Konoha and convince her to attend the Ninja Academy? If you think Naruto has something to do with the whole thing, you get kudos for remembering who the real star is.

Notes to Readers: Thank you so very much for taking the time to read my little story! And taking the time to fav Kokoro &/or post your reviews! Some of you have even been so kind to add me as one of your favorite authors as well. It has been both encouraging and heartening to hear your positive feedback on the story and Naruto's nickname. I'm rather partial to it as well. For the record, I did look it up and it can be used for both girls & boys.

Special Note: Back in the end of chapter 5, Anko's position in T&I have been changed to a rumor. Since I couldn't find any notes in the canon resources that she worked for that division. There are some clues that she was sent on recon missions. But discovered that her working in T&I is a bit cliché in the fan fiction fandom.
