(bangs head against desk) All Dragon Knights and CLAMP fics are being Beta-ed by L.Vandattae. Give her a big round of applause! Without her to give me a swift kick to my posterior, I'd still be lounging about like the lazy lout I am! The majority of my writing tends to be parodies of various scenes of actual canon material, or simply some twisted scenario my muse has dredged up from the pits of my mind. I tend to imagine my favorite characters in ludicrous situations and circumstances when I'm bored then can't let the idea go, thus many of my fics have been born. Humor is my specialty as many of my fans have declared, although recently, I have been dishing out very good family fluff with a side of angst that's surprisingly decent. Well, people do say one's writing evolves over time. I haven't lost my talent for humor, so I shall welcome this new skill with open arms! I sort of cringe at my writing before '06. The plot is alright I think, but the grammar and spelling mistakes are atrocious and the sentence structure mocks me. Those fics are in terrible need of revision, but I refuse to delete them, because I believe once you have posted your work online, it is no longer solely yours any longer, but belongs to the community as a whole. While you may have no more interest in updating or continuing a story, there is no need to take it away from those who may derive pleasure from it. So, tread lightly upon reading my older fics, please. I had just begun writing and my style has evolved since then. Please do feel free to actually leave an email in your review if you're not logged in. Sometimes I wish to respond and discuss comments and I hate using the review box to do this. I won't bite your head off if you have a different opinion than mine. Favorite Manga/Anime/TV shows O.K, here's the facts about me and Manga. I am very particular about the type of Anime I like. In order for me to read and enjoy it, I have to like:1) It can have angst, but the humor must overwhelm those parts, because I hate angst to the max 2)the drawing type, 3)the plot has to have depth and be enthralling, 4)I have to like the characters! Yep, those are the reasons and even though, I do love CLAMP's drawing style, most of their manga is sooooo depressing and angsty. When I read manga, I want action, insane moments, and HUMOR galor! I'll have you know I only got started on Dragon Knights because it started off light and funny! I think I only stayed hooked on it because it was my very first manga which I grew to love and a very special reason called: RATH! 1)Dragon Knights: the first manga I ever read and my long time love. It has EVERYTHING! Action, adventure, drama, romance, cool characters, great plot, and best of all-COMEDY! Fav characters from DK(in order): Rath Pairings I love: well, pretty much all of them. Dragon Knights is one manga where I don't mind the variety of pairings, although I refuse to read Kharl/Garfakcy or Thatz/Delte! I absolutely love Kharl/Rath and I adore the whole Tintlett/Rune/Lim-Kana triangle that was canon-ized! XD That's about it. Cesia wasn't on my list not because I don't like her-she's just not one of my favorite characters. I don't know what it is about her, but I find her REALLY ANNOYING sometimes! But as far DK pairings, I wouldn't mind her with Rath, because obviously that's where it's gonna go in the series and because better her than someone else! 2)Kyou Kara Maou: the drawing is like breathtaking, the characters unique and hilarious, the plot may not be that strong, but the show is more about the characters' growth and relationship interactions. Angst is slim, humor abounds and no one dies! That's my favorite anime construction! X3 Anyway, it's a great series! I have a very unhealthy obsession with it! Fav characters in order: (I have a weakness for vonBielefeld genes) Wolfram, Waltorana, Rufas, etc... 3)Digimon: This is the first anime that I ever watched way back when, I wasn't even clear on what anime was, only that I loved this show! I even remember making up stories in my head between episodes and to amuse myself when I was bored, without realizing I was creating a fanfic. By the time I joined here, Digimon was a couple of years old and I had moved on to other things, however, those characters will forever hold a special place in my heart. Another thing, I happen to be one of the few people in this fandom who prefers using the dub names and I am not ashamed of this. I'm aware that most Digimon fanfiction seems to have evolved into using the original Japanese names for the characters, however, having grown up with the English version, I'm rather fond of the dubbed names, cheesy show and corny jokes that come with it. I have watched the original versions. While it was interesting to see it unedited, I am perfectly content with dubbed still, surprise, surprise. Childhood memories have a hard time being replaced. Fav characters in order: Tai, Matt, Ken, Agumon, Wormmon, Takato, Rika, (and everyone else is sort of equal). Heh, I suppose I should put favorite pairings, although in my opinion, if it's well-written, I have no particular preferences for this series. I like Daiken as much as I do Kenlei. I can see Daikari just as much as Takari. Jyoumi, Koumi, Rukato or Jurato. The only one couple I balk at is Sorato. I can't even say I'm a Taiora fan anymore. I think I just plain hate Sora. (Maybe that's why Taito is comforting, hmmm). Regarding Digimon fans only, It has come to my attention due to certain comments, that I feel compelled to point out that the plot behind Digimon did not revolve around the romantic relationships of the children and/or their Digimon. It you insist on spamming my review box with senseless dribble that has nothing to contribute to what the fic was about, I will delete your incompetent ramblings. I am not a rabid fanshipper who is out for blood. I can hold a logical argument. You want to discuss your eccentric viewpoints, pluck up the courage and leave me your email and we shall have a nice, long debate. I love Digimon as much as the next person, but some of you fans are a little too zealous for your own good. Every other category I have written for (excluding HP), people have been very considerate and thoughtful in their reviews regardless if we have clashings over choices of different OTPs. Here, it's like: you can't make fun of anyone--that's bashing! You can't have other pairings besides canon--that's blasphemy! You have to watch the sub only or you're a HEATHEN! BURN IN HELL! Do me and every other mature person a favor and broaden your horizons, please. Well, I watch a lot more than those, however, as you may have noticed, the majority of my fanfics takes place around those categories, so I will only list my other fav anime/manga by title: +Anima, Code Geass, Get Backers, Gakuen Alice, Shounen Onmyouji, Ouran Host Club, Death Note, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Eureka Seven, Wolf's Rain, Digimon, Princess Tutu, Demon Diary, MeruPuri, GirlGotGame, Love Attack, D. Grayman, Kuroshitsuji, Over Drive, Big Windup!, Peacemaker Kurogane, Ao no Exorcist, Control-C, Eyeshield 21, Hikaru no Go and my most recent obsession is Tiger and Bunny, which I hope to write something for soon! Favorite Things Books: Silverwing series (Kenneth Oppel), Stravaganza series (Mary Hoffman), The Dragonback Series (Timothy Zahn), Percy Jackson and the Olympian series (Rick Riordan), Chrestomanci Chronicles (Diana Wynn-Jones), Valdemar series (Mercedes Lacky), Redwall series (Brian Jacques), Artemis Fowl series (Eoin Colfer), the Twilight series (which I have a love/hate relationship with), Harry Potter (just check out my favs list -_-;), Inkheart series, and tons of other books which I can't name cuz their not in a series and it'll take too long. Just imagine I read the whole library (no joke). I tend to enjoy fantasy and a little bit of sci-fi (most of which is Star Wars), and would rather read a good thick Young Adult/Children's book than anything else. Movies: DISNEY! Phantom of the Opera (I actually saw the opera before they made it a movie), Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek: 2009, Indiana Jones, She's The Man, National Treasure, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Moulin Rouge, and a zillion more...too many to name. Hobbies: Reading a book, drawing...anime characters (yeah, well, just try and tell me you don't: blushes), attempting to cook Japanese recipes, researching and finding anything I can about Japan, and of course, fanfiction.
